So, according to Pixar the name comes from the Gaelic words for big (Mor) and black (Du) as they describe his physique and appearance.
I tried to find a way make a unique one that would still be pronounceable, but no such luck.
But, dark is a different word than black so if I did it the same way, his name would be Mor’do
