Prissiness regained at the compliment, César no longer looked upset. Jakob was still blushing, although it was beginning to fade. He was relieved to feel the warmth leaving his cheeks. César looked like he was about to say something-his expression firm and matter-of-fact as he opened his mouth. But, he seemed to freeze, no words coming out. Jakob looked at him, wondering if he was okay. Eventually, he did say something-though it was slightly unexpected. “And your boots are…your boots.” It wasn’t the rude remark or haughty comment he had expected. Instead it was some sort of compliment-though it could probably be taken as an insult if you looked at it the right way. Jakob decided to take it as the former. He chuckled, “Why thank you. We’ve been together for a while, me and these boots.”
He stared at Jakob as if he was expecting more. “Sure.” He had a sour expression now. “Besides, you and I are not done with each other.” Jakob’s red eyebrows raised, his lips twisting into a smirk. No, they weren’t. And if things went his way, they wouldn’t be done with each other for a while. César gestured to his pixie dust pants angrily, then waved his chalk dust-stained blazer in Jakob’s face. Jakob blinked-although he’d gladly own up to the first, the second wasn’t even his fault. “You’re responsible for this, so you at least owe me laundry.” Jakob shrugged-he was fine with that, each dorm had one anyways. “Alright, fine.” He agreed. “Though you deserve those chalk stains-you’re the one who assaulted me.” He added. Deciding it was time to put phase two into fruition, he began to lazily walk down the halls. “C’mon, pixie-dust-pants.” He said this, as the pants had been brought up again. Plus, the nickname was sure to get César running after him.
