His reaction was hard to read, though, knowing Ashton, he was probably disappointed, somewhat. “You, know, Roberto, I’m more of a tea guy myself,” Ashton decided, then tossed Robert’s the cup into the trash can by the desk. Robert blinked, though he didn’t look angry. The pitcher on the back table was magical-it refilled by itself. So this wasn’t really a waste of coffee. Nodding, he said, “Arabian coffee. Tea. Noted.” He said smoothly. “You know, Bobby…I could actually get you those beans from Aruba directly if you just…” He directed Robert’s attention to the bracelet on his wrist. Yes, the teachers all knew about it, just like they all knew about Ashton. This bracelet kept him from using his teleportation, meaning he was currently unable to teleport to Aruba for beans. He smiled softly at Ashton. He did feel bad he had been stripped of his freedom. “I don’t think even the best beans would be worth losing my job.” He hinted, trying to get Ashton to see things from his point of view.
“Oh…was I late? I didn’t even notice.” Ashton said, his legs kicked up on the table in front of him. Robert didn’t like this, but wouldn’t say anything yet. “It’s okay, Ashton, a lot of people were.” He said, with understanding. He noticed Ashton was talking with the boy next to him, but didn’t stop him. He probably needed a friend.
