Alicia Liddel

| Chemistry, people, there’s no myth || Brooks |

She looked down at the notes that had been passed to her, desperately trying to understand what it meant. She had nothing. Nothing. For all the reading she had done, all the knowledge she contained, Alicia couldn’t read some sheet music. She hung her head in shame, pushing the book back to them and shaking her head no. “I… I’m sorry. I have no idea…” Alicia wanted to share that she was a fast learner, though she felt as though it was pointless. Why would she bother? She had already disappointed the person next to them. She was simply a burden.

Alicia moved her hand to her shoulder. “Yes, of course. You don’t need to… I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable,” her quiet voice stammered out. Despite her despair, Brooks’ compliment did make her feel better. There was a trace of a smile on her pink lips. “Anytime, Brooks. I’m glad that I could do something to help.”

Calista Circe

| Outside || Dark |

Now, don’t get this wrong, Calista didn’t feel bad for anyone. She had a lack of empathy. However, she was pitying Dark. Not a nice nor comforting pity, simple a heartless one. Though, through her mask of pity, she was also overjoyed. She could use this boy. If all she had to do was bring out the bad part of him… but how? Would it be too much to ask? Calista did have a plan. An uncalculated one. An unplanned one. One that most likely wouldn’t work, yet one that was worth a shot. She placed her hand on his, “I don’t think you’re a monster,” Calista whispered as she leaned in closer. “In fact, I think you’re sweet. Even if this is only a small part of you… I think it’s worth it. All the chaos and destruction your… darker self might bring…”
