For the first time in their life, Pin was angry. They had never been angry. They didn’t get angry. Pin’s anger always turned into disappointment in themself. Or sadness or fear. Then they’d go dance and everything would be better. But Pin couldn’t dance right now - they had to attend class. Pin wasn’t calming down, either. They were furious, fuming as they came in mere moments before Orwell. Pin took a seat and got their supplies out of their bag. Pin then pulled out a notebook and pencil case to go with it.
Pin watched in awe as their deskmate, a boy with white hair and blue eyes, turned his seemingly paint-stained clothes into the white school uniform. The odd thing was, it didn’t look like he had conjured it. At least not to Pin, who granted, barely had any magical experience. It looked like… snow, almost. It glittered oddly in the classroom and the jacket disappeared into thin air moments after. Orwell was left clapping enthusiastically whilst the rest of the glass questioned just who this boy was. Pin listened intently as they discussed the possibility of a Queen Elsa, someone Pin had never heard of.
Perhaps if Pin had been raised 7560 miles North-West, they would have heard of the figure Jack Frost, the harbinger of Autumn into Winter. Legend to be the same Jack of Jack and Jill, Jack be Nimble, and Jack and the Beanstalk. Alas, Pin was not. So they had no idea who on Earth this boy could be.
Pin was brought out of their confusion at the boy asking them for a pen. Their eyes went wide as they fumbled through their pencil case, pulling out a pen. Pin kept their gaze low and snuck a peek at his desk, which lacked paper, as well. “… would you also like a notebook?” Pin held another notebook in their hand, “I have more than enough to spare.” This was a lie, as Pin was currently the only one paying for their supplies and was extremely low on funds, but they didn’t want to seem poor. “Uhm… if you don’t mind me asking… what exactly… was that?”
