For a moment, he didn’t reply, taking in what Lorelai had spoken, running them through his mind, trying to unravel them-every word, every syllable. Or, at least, that’s what Lorelai saw. And she didn’t mind the quiet moment in their conversation at all, she liked to think she had that affect on people-stunning them into silence as they tried to figure out just what she was after. While he mulled it over, she looked him over again-she hadn’t noticed he was dressed in the school uniform (she was more focused on other things), however, it wasn’t the stark-white color the boy’s uniform was supposed to be. Well, the ruffly suit was, but the outer blazer was glittering gold, the same color as Lorelai’s large hoop earrings and the accents on her outfit. Her eyes traced down the jacket…interesting. She had never seen anyone wearing something like that here, but she liked it. It complimented her outfit well, but didn’t outshine it (could anything?), and made Téo stand out as well-though he didn’t quite need a jacket to help him with that.

“Alors, compter,” His soft smile remained as he leaned closer towards Lorelai, almost appearing to go for her lips before whispering in her ear instead “Je seulement demande que tu ne peux pas ne compte pas sur moi.” Despite the few butterflies that fluttered against her heart, which was beating quicker and quicker, she kept her self-satisfied grin on her pursed lips, one brow arched slightly higher than the other, not looking in his direction. She only met his blue gaze when he leaned back, his words lingering in her ears as she thought of something to say in return. “Tu es très charmant, Teo.” “You’re quite charming, Teo.” The faintest laugh escaped from her lips. “C’est un peu trop tard pour que je fasse quelque chose comme ça.” “It’s a little too late for me to do something like that.” There, that was as much of her hand as she wanted to reveal. Her playful smirk kept it seeming she was playing along anyways.

“I do think so.” She exhaled-this boy was oozing with admiration for her, which made him a dozen times more lovable. She feigned a smidge of humbleness with her response, “You’re adorable for saying that.” She had no doubt in her mind he had been telling the truth all along, but she wanted to hear it again, in all honesty. “Wait, so your dad is Poseidon and your mom is the goddess of beauty?” He let out a whistle, then a short laugh, sounding very impressed. Lorelai beamed pridefully. “Those genes. D-mn. But will you age? Like, maybe not to being old, but will you look older?” She attempted not to shudder at the thought of ageing, and succeeded despite how strong the urge was. With the word “old” came visions of wrinkles, strange markings, and silvery hair-very mortal things. However, she could close her bright, eyes (without any creases appearing_ at night and sleep knowing she would never have to go through any of those developments.

She nodded in response to the question, still looking rather important. “I will…age.” She said at first, almost gagging at how gross that sounded. “However, I’ll probably stop before twenty-five or younger, like my mother, I’ll always appear to be in my prime.” She sighed, it only sounded slightly happy. “Like both of my parents, I can change my appearance and shift forms. So if I ever look too old, I’ll just shift or drink some ambrosia.” She felt she was giving too much away about a part of herself she didn’t like to think about. “I don’t usually shift because I don’t need to. How could I get bored or tired of looking like this?” She finished, smirking, though soon realized this sounded incredibly vain and might put Téo off. So, she laughed it off like she was kidding, when in all honesty, she had been one hundred percent honest.

“Thank you, Lore.” There came that adorably earnest smile, and she gave one back-though not earnest, she didn’t know how to be earnest. “You’re welcome.” Was her simple, but fitting answer. He continued to grin and gave her a light nod, “It’s a date.” He said smoothly, looking quite pleased. She looked satisfied-she was. She felt as if she had secured herself a victory-Téo was obviously into her, of course. She would get what she wanted, and obviously, he wanted this as well. The beach would be wonderful, and she was sure she’d give him experiences he couldn’t even fathom as of now. Being the daughter of Poseidon, there was little she hadn’t seen at the beach or in the ocean, but she was far from sick of sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. “I look forwards to it.” The sly smile on her face revealed just how much she did.

She felt something-his hand on top of hers. Caught off guard, as she had been looking away from him, her eyes widened and her wince turned into slightly parted lips, cheeks beginning to slightly flush the ruby color of the gems on her hand mirror. Of course, it vanished as quickly as it had appeared, as did the look of surprise, which transformed into a genuine-looking smile. He really was different. “I do, yeah. I do want to see and do everything the world has to offer. Sometimes I want to be someone else, somewhere else, just to see what it’d be like to be anyone but Téo. You know? So I get it.” With another smile, his hand was gone, but the moment was not, and those strange fluttering things were bouncing against her heart again. “Yeah…” Was all she could exhale, she felt winded despite having gotten her expression under control, a cooler, more casual look taking it’s place. “You’re a great guy, Téo.” This was genuine, too genuine for Lorelai. “As for experiences, stay by my side, and I promise you’ll have them. What the world has to offer.” It was harder to keep back the blush now, but she was still successful. She felt stupid talking like this…but it seemed like it would be meaningful to Téo and he wouldn’t judge her. Maybe she would stick around longer than she’d thought. Maybe she wanted to.

“Are they? Why’s that?” Téo claimed he had never met a prince but had dreamt about being pampered and live in a palace. She smiled softly when he talked about his mother. How sweet… how very, very sweet. She laughed in response. “A bunch of pretty boys with sticks up their -sses and the belief they rule the entire world.” She said boredly, brushing away at the air. “Good. They weren’t worth my time, and they’re definitely not worth yours.” Now for the second part. “Have you seen this place? I think your wish has been granted,” She said, grinning and half-joking. She wasn’t really impressed by the school, but Téo probably was, and she didn’t want to put it down. She batted her eyelashes, tone dripping with honey, though she kept her eyelids slightly lowered and lips pursed. “Can I… hear more about your mother?”
