He let his smirk turn into his typical carefree smile, which resembled that of a chocolate lab. His teeth peeked out, perfectly white. His eyes sparkled with playful amusement as they rested on her. She blushed the color of a cranberry, though looked up hopefully at him, perhaps she had been more embarrassed than bashful? “So you’re not offended?” He shook his head quickly, “I’m not the type of person to get offended over something so minuscule. Sorry if I scared you.” He smiled in a friendly way as he attempted to reassure her. She giggled, explained she was taught to do that. This was reasonable to Garçon, she had excellent manners then. He nodded, grinning, but he was now distracted by the girl sticking her hand into her backpack, and a light crunching following that. “You hiding something in there?” He asked, curiously ducking his head to try to catch a glimpse. She stood up just to curtsy, so he did the same, but bowed. It only seemed fair to return the efforts. “I’m Alawa and I’m seventeen, turning eighteen very soon.” He nodded, smiling and repeated her name. “Alawa, great to meet you. I’m Garçon, and I guess I am your senior, then. I’m eighteen.” He said, a slightly playful ring to his words as he also took a seat again.
