Hearing Emeka’s tone change was a big surprise for Anang. What was once an awkward boy, now spoke with great confidence. It seemed that was a topic he was passionate about. They nodded, listening to his reasoning. The only reason Anang didn’t believe in murdering the victims, is because they thought that you’d stoop to their level. They didn’t want to be seen as bad, and would rather be cautious and avoid such things. However, seeing a tear fall down Emeka’s cheek is what held them back from voicing their opinion. They didn’t want to hurt him any more.
“Are you alright?” they asked him, a concerned look on their face. “Let’s talk about something else! You wanna know my favorite game, right?” they smiled, attempting to change the tone of the conversation.
“I don’t know what kind of games you mean, but I personally really like to play fps games on my computer.” they laughed. “I know, I know, ironic.” It was true, they found fun in playing those kinds of games. Anang believed that as long as nobody was harmed in real life, it wasn’t bad to play shooter games. Competition was what drove them to play those games in the first place, and the thrill of fighting against your opponents. “What about you?” they asked, curious to know what kind of games he played. “Oh, and, you do know what computers are, right?”
