MEABH SÍDHE - LITERATURE
Meabh spent the night unpacking and decorating her room with charms and vines. It was so bright in there, not what they were used to at all. Next came her uniform. Meabh hated it. At least the way it currently looked. She knew that there was no real choice in the matter - either wear it or get dress coded. Tempting as it was, Meabh didn’t feel like getting daily detentions. They encouraged some vines and flowers to grow, weaving them through the outer layers of their sets of uniform. The flowers were beautiful, adding magical flourishes to the otherwise drab colours
At around 6 in the morning, Meabh had finished. She slipped into the dress, button up shirt, tights, flat white sneakers and male overcoat. Looking in the mirror, Ailbhe adjusted her hair and jewellery. there was no way she was taking all this off though. Each bracelet and ring was imbued with protection magic, including protection from all magical attacks. They had saved Meabh’s life at one point, when Neisha went into a rage and tried to drain them of their magic and their life.
Meabh loved her sister, but sometimes she could be terrifying. Cliodhna had caught her with a mouse and chained her though, which was unacceptable. Neisha was power hungry, but that didn’t mean she deserved to be chained. Meabh herself didn’t know how to drain, and didn’t want to know. That was one peice of dark magic that she avoided like the plague. Meabh was only here to get her sister out of those chains, so it didn’t matter much whether or not she payed attention in the class anyway.
At 7.40am, Meabh left the dorm, not bothering to check who her roommate was. May as well get used to th place, and avoid conversations as much as possible. They didn’t speak much in the way of English, and getting their phone out to translate was often just awkward.
Eventually finding her way into Literature, Meabh found a seat close to the back. Neisha was there too, but seemed deep in conversation with some other person, so she left them alone. Sitting, Meabh leaned back, surveying the classroom. This wasn’t so bad.
