The person Clementine hit with the book came towards him, asking if he threw the book. OF COURSE, he threw the book, there was no other person in the hallway of this god-forsaken-school. But he looked up at the person, she was very pretty in his opinion. Maybe he could charm his way out of this one, he didn’t want trouble today. He left his dagger in the magic classroom, after all. “No,” Clementine’s voice squeaked out batting his long eyelashes. He knew he sounded adorable. But he couldn’t help it, he let out a giggle. He covered his mouth with both hands, eyes wide. Now she had to know, everyone knew you laughed when you were trying to a lie. He let his hands fall to his lap before pointing at the plant next to him. “It was Vivian.” He lied, obviously. As if to make it more convincing, he moved his hands behind his back as he shrugged. The large green plant raised it’s leaves – as he directed it with the magic pouring invisibly from his fingers – as if to wave hello. It waved a leaf and lightly smacked the girl on the cheek, not too hard but still enough to cause Clementine to giggle. “She’s mean, don’t mind her.”
