Although he was dressed in the overly-formal white uniform, he still felt underdressed and cheap compared to the other students-even his bookbag-though made of expensive leather-was worn and somewhat scratched. He shifted it a bit, maybe she wouldn’t focus on it. Probably not, Arielle seemed nice and not very judgmental-she had shook his grimy hand after all. She looked relieved as he told her not to worry about him, then beamed-there was that gorgeous smile again. “Lucky me, then.” She said sweetly. Jason grinned-“Same here,” he told her, his tone just as sweet. Though it was likely he’d remember some of the students-he hadn’t talked to most of them, so it was nice to have someone he could sit next to and talk to during class. “So how are you this lovely morning?” As she walked, she let her hand brush over the lockers-giving her an adventurous and almost whimsical vibe. Jason shrugged, but grinned casually, “I’m alright. Woke up a bit too early, though.” The hallways smelled amazing- breakfast scents coming from the Castleteria. He wished he had a bit more money-then he could’ve bought more than a protein bar. It was hard to resist the food on display-especially the bacon. However, maybe if he skipped a few days, he could take Camilla and Arielle out for breakfast there. Patience is a virtue, Jason. “And how are you?” Though she wasn’t always meeting his gaze, he kept his brown eyes on her. She looked at her bag, surprised. It was natural for him to ask-his mother had raised him to always be polite this way. After a moment, she refused, “Oh, no, I can carry it! It’s pretty light, anyways…thank you, though, for asking.” He frowned slightly-but it wasn’t very noticable. “Oh, no problem,” He said. He didn’t think she was incapable of carrying it, of course. He thought about insisting, but decided that would come off the wrong way. “Did you find who you were looking for?” She asked with a pretty grin. Jason rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling. Yes, Camilla had been in her dorm, eating cake. “Yes, eventually.” He said, nodding. “Thank you so much for your help, again.” He’d already thanked her, but there wasn’t such thing as too much gratitude, right? “Sorry, I might’ve wasted your time a bit.” He looked away, then looked back to her, smiling. “I owe ya one.”
