Nita adjusted her high ponytail at the end of her fourth class, Villain History & Skills. Yes, it surprised her as well that she had actually attended. Flicking her hair exuberantly after she had tightened it, she was satisfied that it looked great. She grabbed her black leather jacket from the back of the chair and threw it over her green tank as her left the classroom.

Heading to the castleteria, Nita squeezed her had into the pocked of her black skinnies and pulled out treasures (money). Time for some food that wasn’t bloody fish. Standing in line behind far too many chattering morons, Nita wondered if she’d be able to tolerate the next year. She doubted it, and knew she wouldn’t meet anyone she actually liked.

Surprising things just kept happening to Nikko on his second day at this God-awful school for the deluded and brainwashed. Not only was he still here, attending, but he had also attend not one but all four of his classes. Whether he had been paying attention in any of them was another story.
Nikko sat atop the desk in his Chemythstry class, staring at his reflection in a piece of reflective metal at the side of the room. Putting a hand to his hair, he grabbed a handful and pulled upwards, making sure it was styled right, still sticking up perfectly. Then after touches his lashes to make sure the mascara was in place. Yes, they looked luscious and navy eyeliner perfectly too. Nikko grabbed his broom from where it leant on the chair and held it in front of him, his shows dangling off it by their laces. He place his bare feet on it, let go, and surfed the air out of the class.

Surfing his broom along the corridors and into the Castleteria. Nikko soared around the count, through the kitchen and out again, grabbing two bananas on the the way through. Out of the kitchen, he flew over to the back. Finding a table near the windows, he perched himself on the window sill, feet dangling down the wall. Catching the brown as he sat, he leaned it on the wall and started peeling one of his bananas.

Tabitha was sitting in the dark, staring out a window. What did the sun feel like? Her thoughts were interupted by a muffled scream. “Ahh!” Tabitha yelped, falling out of her chair. Luckily, she was still fully covered. She turned toward the voice, speaking softly, eyes wide like a deer in the headlights. “Hello…I’m a-sorry for scaring you…I’m Tabitha…” she said, holding out a gloved hand.

There was nothing more irritable than his first class today, nothing in the whole world. Well, no, not nothing. Leaving that class and seeing so many couples holding hands between classes was physically sickening. At least to the point where he could attend his next class. In fact, the same was said for his fourth period. Not the third though, it was the fact of the matter than Amius was fascinated my the subject of Villain History.
As for second and fourth period, he spend them walking the school and dealing to his anger and rage. How? He would sneak up on couples so they couldn’t know he was there and focus on decreases the love they felt for each other. Not too much, but just enough, enough so that they wouldn’t break up by the end of the day.

By the time lunch rolled around, he was satisfied and relaxed. Sitting on a bench in the shade of a large tree, please with what he’d done today. Maybe it wasn’t going to be such a bad year after all.

Classes had been a blur. Kato Pillar could not remember a thing that was said in any of them, even if you paid him. Without his relaxation and concentration stick, Kato was a mess. He was frazzled and unfocused, he had no clarity, which since smoke is certainly not clear. As a sound that Kato couldn’t even determine the origin rang out, students got up from their seats. Kato got up with them, leaving the class toward the Castleteria, and all he was thinking about was one thing; the taste of smoke in his mouth, even if only in memory.

To try to take his mind off of it, Kato ordered four plates of food and took them to a table somewhere in the middle of the room.

The first day of school had been good for Vic so far. They had been learning loads. Sitting by themselves in each classes, zeroing in on each teacher, Vic processed everything and couldn’t wait to start doing the homework. The only annoying part of the classes was all the annoying chatter from the other students; Vic wished they would all just stop talking.

Now it was lunch. That’s what it said on the schedule Vic had read. 80% BATTERY. Vic was fine. As lunch for humans meant food and Vic wasn’t in need of sustenance, Vic walked outside to actually feel the outside air. Heading straight there, no detours, Vic was not 10 metres from the school’s entrance when they bent over, their body creating an exact right angle. They extended their arm straight down to the ground, splaying their hand out wide, and then pressed their palm to the ground. The grass here was more different to home, softer and greener.

“I think we both have different interpretations of me.” Wei said, “And mine is right.” Haldir said sternly. Wei ming was so troublesome, so stupid… though some might call it ‘fearless or brave’ Haldir didn’t think that was the case. It was more of stupidity’s doing. Haldir noticed the look on Wei Ming’s face and raised his brow disgusted. What was he thinking? Haldir wondered.

“I was getting frustrated, Darling. I associate him with my frustrations. Accidentally let it slip, in other words.” Haldir stared at Wei Ming for what seemed like hours, “So you’re saying his torturing you or making you angry?” Haldir asked. Haldir wasn’t really the curious type, except when it was something involving him. But nevertheless, he wasn’t one to be curious. After all didn’t curiosity kill the cat? . “Now, let’s see what you can do.” Haldir glanced at him and moved closely to him. He placed his hand on Wei Ming’s forehead. Haldir closed his eyes. “Feeling better?” He asked as the yellow light disappeared.

The person, probably another student, had their face obscured by the hood of their and were looking out of the faraway window. They quietly screamed after Robin had and fell from their chair. From the floor, they greeted Robin with a name and handshake, apologising for startled them. Robin couldn’t touch their gloved hand, and though they hated being rude, they took a step back. There was now a good two metre distance between them and Tabitha. “Nice to meet you, Tabitha. I’m Robin. I didn’t think there was anyone else here. I hope you don’t mind me being here.”

Tabitha lowered her hand when Robin backed up, placing her arm back in the folds of her cloak. She shook her head when Robin said he hoped she didn’t mind him being there. “No, I’m glad you’re here…I’m lonely, honestly. People stay away from me because they think I’m scary…I’m not.” She said softly, giving a sad smile. “They always think I’m a terrifying monster or something.” She glanced around, noting that the sun couldn’t reach them from where she was. Ok, she could reveal herself. She lowered her hood, antlers casting a shadow on the wall, brown eyes smiling. “Now you can see a face to add to my voice.”

Ahh, ok. I thought it was skin on skin. Also, I imagine her voice as very soft and gentle.

Kyle Forlana had called the question he’d asked ignorant but forgave it. That was still something that Bertram took note of, people tended not to like those questions and he better be more careful in the future. It was strange actually, as Jara seemed to be okay with those sort of questions. Perhaps it was only some people who didn’t mind, and it seemed that Kyle Forlana was not the person to question. Yet, Kyle Forlana answered, telling him that common sense wasn’t very common and pure stupidity was. Bertram nodded and said, “Thank you for being honest with me.”

Kyle Forlana then went on to say that he would be more than willing to help, but suggest a type of service trade. Bertram thought about it, wondering what he could offer in return. Then answered, “Nature. My knowledge is in flora and fuana, as I am quite a gardener. Neither am I a bad cook either, I know how to prepare many meals. Would either of these help you?”

“Yeah, I’m free this evening.” Autumn nodded, tucking a long strand of hair behind one of her ears. Sonny’s grin widened- “In that case, would you, Autumn Evergreen, make me the luckiest person alive and go out with me this evening?” Sonny asked this grandly, mocking a formal tone and reaching out one hand invitingly. Though their smile was confident and bright as ever, inside, they felt a bit anxious, heart pounding. They knew Autumn had said they wanted to explore whatever they had between them, but there was still the small, nagging, fear of rejection in the back of their mind.

Autumn’s laugh was soft and small, but it brought so much relief to Sonny to hear that sound. Even though it was muffled, and it seemed Autumn still had a few tears left to cry-even the tiniest laugh meant that Sonny’s speech was a tiny bit effective. And her reddened cheeks were definitely a bonus. Finally, Autumn slowly turned back to Sonny, wiping her tears away. “Sonny, I-” She looked so beautiful, even though she’d just been crying. How was that possible? Sonny’s cheeks were warm, they waited patiently for Autumn to finish the sentence she’d begun. She insisted she wasn’t the girl who Sonny thought she was. “But why can’t you be both? Why can’t the girl I see you as overlap with the girl you see yourself as? The beautiful girl who reads in the orchards and the amazing girl who can replenish, like, a hundred trees of their fruit?” They asked softly, smiling kindly at Autumn. “I promised you that I would give this-us a shot and I fully intend to do so.” Before Sonny could grin and pump their fist in the air, Autumn pulled them into a surprise hug.

Both Autumn and Sonny’s laughter filled the air as Sonny wrapped their arms tightly around Autumn, curls brushing against her rosy cheeks, Sonny’s even redder. “Thank you so much Autumn. It means the world to me.”

“You going to be fine?” Étienne asked Éte as they stood to the entrance of the Castleteria. “Yeah. I’ll definitely manage. I don’t know if you will without your bestie though.” They shot, referencing Gogo, there sister. Étienne rolled his eyes, giving his sister a rub on the shoulder before heading off. “I’ll manage, sister.” he said calling back, knowing they’d explode with a smile.

Étienne pulled out a small handheld mirror. Fixing his braids that Gogo had given him the other day. Tucking pieces here, pulling there, and making everything look like it was part of the original style. He stepped forward, slightly too forward. His face collided with hair, it didn’t hurt, it was only hair. We didn’t even know if the human belonging to it noticed. He took a step back automatically stepping on someone’s toes. Then took a tiny scoot forward. He inspected the hair. "How much shampoo do you have to use?* he accidentally thought out loud. He gave confident flare as if he meant to say that on purpose.

Margaux began to wonder if she had maybe taken wrong way. The longer she went on, the fewer people were present. The fewer people there were, the less sure she was in her ability to locate the Castleteria. She began peering into random rooms, and after inadvertently walking into a couple’s make out session, she immediately shut the door and dragged her feet to the next. She peered in, completely unprepared for anyone to be there… especially hoping it wasn’t another couple.

Margaux realized she’d probably miss the get-together she’d planned with her siblings. Though, finally, she found a sign on the wall and followed it to what she assumed was the Castleteria. Fortunately, it was. Margaux sighed, relieved to have discovered the Castleteria but disappointed that she had missed her siblings’ get-together.

The line wasn’t short, but there were definitely a good amount already sitting down and eating. She decided on Quiche, to give her mild homesickness a rest. Also, she could judge how good they were at making food. She made her rounds, not finding her siblings whatsoever, and hardly even seeing a seat available. She stood on her heels, looking up at the ceiling. She rolled her eyes all the way into reality again landing on a random pair of feet. She followed them up to there legs, and so on. She marched over to the window sill. Squinting up, she called, “hey! How’d you get up there?”

Rylan knew what velociraptors were, and he knew the basics, of course-what they looked like, that they were carnivores. However, he’d never been as deep into dinosaurs as Shelldon-deep, but not as deep. So it was likely Asa knew some things about them that Rylan didn’t. Actually, it was likely Asa knew a lot more than Rylan about everything. “If you want,” Rylan said, trying not to sound too interested, though he did make eye contact with Asa. Shelldon leaned in excitedly, “Spill.” He demanded. He knew lots of cool things about the Kunbarrasaurus, and wanted to hear more. He shrugged, “Maybe, since they’re my fav. But what’s so bad about hearing them again?” He flashed Asa a smuggish smile. “All dinosaurs are cool regardless.” Both of the brothers nodded, there were a few others Rylan found especially cool, and Shelldon really liked all dinosaurs. Specifically the Kunbarrasaurus, though, since it reminded him of a tortoise the most.“Oh, for sure. Have you heard of the Pegomastax? It’s like this weird -ss mix between a parrot and a porcupine.” Shelldon asked Asa. Rylan stared at him, looking both intrigued and weirded out- he could’ve sworn he had heard this before-which was even weirder.

Shelldon was glad this new friend was someone he could banter sarcastically with-he chuckled at Asa’s response, shaking his head lightly. “Oh wow, is that a wolf constellation?” Shelldon asked, trying to replicate the drawing on his other hand. Somehow, this drawing was even worse, with sticklike legs that were much too long for the jagged body. Is that plagiarism? Rylan thought, watching silently. Asa’s looked much better, he also thought, though it was slightly hard to see. “No problem,” Shelldon tried to sound casual, but there was emotion in his voice. He wondered if it would really be okay if he took Asa’s box-that was a part of his father, would it make him sad to know two strangers had it? Or did he not want to look at it anymore if it was too painful? Oh well, Shelldon would take good care of it, and if Asa ever wanted it back, he would give it back to him. That sounded like a good solution, Shelldon thought to himself. Rylan jerked when he felt a hand on his shoulder, though he looked calmer when he realized who it was. “I…no, it doesn’t.” He said quickly, glaring suspiciously at Shelldon-what had he told Asa? He didn’t want Asa to know he got upset about racing stuff so easily. He mustered a fake smile, cheeks pink at Asa’s touch, “It didn’t… was just thinking about something else.” He lied.

Asa’s smile seemed genuinely positive, though Rylan still felt bad. He rubbed the back of his neck, not knowing what to say-he didn’t want to feel better, just wanted to keep kicking himself over this, if he was being honest. “He sounds amazing.” He said instead, trying to be positive for a change. Asa’s giggle made his heart flutter, he was happier than ever to hear the sound. Rylan nodded lightly, he didn’t want to brush off Asa’s pain but he wanted him to feel better, hopefully switching topics would help. Shelldon gave him one last sympathetic look before nodding also, agreeing they should change the topic.

Shelldon nodded dryly again. He would be able to live without classes with a friend, but it still felt lousy, like a rock in his shoe. Too bad someone Rylan didn’t actually seem to hate was only in one of his classes-it seemed the world was always taking a dump on his brother. He couldn’t even have a few more classes with this guy? Maybe Shelldon should see if he could change around his classes, at least the morning ones, but Rylan might be embarrassed if he did that. Rylan made a strange grumbling noise, nodding in annoyed agreement. “…Yeah, I guess,” Rylan said, sounding upset. He didn’t like to study very much, but studying with Asa sounded fun-they’d probably have more opportunity to talk during a study session than class anyways…? “And we still have lunch,” Shelldon added, since they’d decided to sit together. Rylan felt excited at Asa’s excitement, swiftly taking the napkin. “Thanks…” He began to fold it into as small a piece as he could… he wanted to put it in his phone but he didn’t want Asa to see how ancient his phone was. His dads had bought him one so they could keep in touch easier, especially during Rylan’s races. However, that “phone” was a bronze flip phone that was probably as old as a Kunbarrasaurus. “I…I’ll be sure to text you too. Just so you have my number.” He would have to try not to text too often and be annoying, though. Maybe Rylan wouldn’t be so nervous over text, He blushed furiously, turning away and about to tuck the napkin in his pocket. “Hey, that’s for both of us,” Shelldon interrupted, snatching the napkin and whipping out his slightly newer phone with no problem. Rylan froze, staring at the napkin and thinking about how to get it back.

Shelldon dashed over to look at Asa’s screen, “Oooh, nice. You got Rylan’s good side-and mine, which is all of my sides.” Shelldon joked-it was a really awesome photo, he knew his dads would love it. Ah, it all made sense now, Rylan looked like a furry tomato. Was Rylan crushing? It had been so long since Rylan had had any sort of a crush that Shelldon had sorta decided he just didn’t get them anymore-he wasn’t capable of it. Shelldon felt a smirk creeping onto his lips as he casually turned to his food. “Stop it, you are not a grouch.” put a very non-grouchy smile on Rylan’s stern face. He felt like he was going to explode when Asa said, “But there are more where that came from.” He began to stammer, arms still around Asa, red face buried in his hair. “R-Really?.. I did. And I am. But I’m glad I still made your day.” Rylan felt blank-what was he supposed to say!! This guy was too cute and his flirting skills were rustier than ever!! Maybe Rylan didn’t HATE hugs.

Nika tilted his head in confusion. “Why do you need a lemon? Are you attempting to grow a lemon tree or something? Or turn it into some perfume?” Nika joked. It was odd that she sniffed it since he never thought lemons had much of a smell. Seeing her fingerprints left on the cup made him go wide-eyed for a second before calming down. He had forgotten that fingerprints were a thing for a split second since he hadn’t looked at his in forever. “Well then, good luck with your guessing.” He was rather curious if she would guess right, so he sat there with anticipation on his face.

Ace never blushed…well, he didn’t blush because a pretty girl looked his way or attempted to flirt with him. He liked to think he was above turning red and embarrassed about that-and that blushing over attention from a crush was for girls. But unfortunately for Ace, most people aren’t really above being embarrassed and Joelene’s retort left him flustered, freckled cheeks as red as his letterman’s jacket. “O-of course I don’t.” Ace said, trying to compose himself as quickly as possible. “I just know it would taste awful, like tea does.” He sniffed haughtily, finally turning his condescending gaze away. Though that only lasted a moment. He rubbed his hands together eagerly as she announced, “Okay, quiz time!” He looked determined-though his face fell as soon as she began the questioning. First of all, his memory was not good enough to recall everything she just asked. Even if it was-what she had said was literally gibberish to Ace. “Canaries? What a sissy name. The answer to the first three are who cares?! I thought these questions would be about real, good, legit football. The average game takes about three hours to complete-it varies, obviously, wait, is this a trick question? And, 1920, of course.” His answers were rushed to hide the fact he was unsure about more than half of the questions. He looked as if he had been insulted, even though he was upset he didn’t know the first two, and completely mortified. Even the tips of his ears were red. He should’ve known she would pull something like this, how dare she assume he wouldn’t know?! Even though he didn’t know, actually.

Jara nodded along to his intriguing pepper story. Háo hurting himself was a downside that she couldn’t dispute. But, at least it seemed to be only his taste that went numb and not his entire tongue. She chomped down on another piece of salmon. Now that she thought about it, his parents should have a similar condition, or at least one of them should. “You still get full, correct? Not drowsy or anything? Also, do your parents have any solutions since they’d have the same condition, correct?” Jara questioned. Her eyes narrowed at the stubborn Háo, “Firstly, it was more of a promise if I find out. Secondly, what else would I possibly do with the information? It’d be of use to you, so of course, I’d tell you. Simple of that, no need for gratitude.”

Stirner nodded and moved over to the edge of the hallway, leaning against the wall. “Helicopter controlling? Easy solution, simply copy what I did, ditch 'em. No reason one authority should have that much control over an individual. Teacher, eh? As long as you’re not one of those who dress codes people, I’ll be rooting for ya on that,” Stirner snickered. Otherwise, he would have to burn up every resume this fellow had if he was a dress coder. This fellow, Ji-woo apparently, extended his hand for what Stirner could only assume was a handshake for introductions. Stirner looked at his feet, sighing. He just got comfortable against the wall too. Stirner then pushed himself off the wall and slapped Ji-woo’s hand like a high five. “Names, Stirner. It’s nice meeting you.”
