Oh, I had no idea that was taken I’m so sorry. If you’re not comfortable with a half sibling I can find a new parent.

Is his mom Morana or something?
I think that’s how you spell it.

I’m sorry, @ethereal, but I have a small problem with this “parent”. As I know you are allowing Moana (character from a film) and Maui (mythical demi-god, like Maori Heracles) BUT Tefiti is just a film character. They are an island for one, not a god, and they aren’t even part of real Polynesian myths. Tefiti was created for the film and based on the island of Tahiti. So it’s sort of straying a little and could affect other Polynesian characters made.

oh no… i didn’t think about that!! i thought it would be okay because they were a character in moana i guess… :grimacing: i didn’t mean to offend anyone either… er…
well that’s not great but i definitely get your point! sorry i didn’t think about that.

but if moana is just a film character, could te fiti be allowed as just a film character? :thinking:

Ooohhh, better not. I was thinking of making a kid of Pelé, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanos, but I probably shouldn’t.

Would Tamatoa’s child be problematic as well?

@CrazyCaliope & @ethereal?

Ah.

Moana would be alright 'cause they’re just a girl/woman from a tribe, they could be from anywhere in Polynesia. However, Tefiti doesn’t exist. They are a fictional island, not even a myth like the others.

The thing is, I wouldn’t see this as a problem 'cause they’re just a creature, like the Ariel Mermaid’s fishy friend. But the character of Te fiti is literally an island that’s not based on myth. And When I think of Maui’s stories, I wonder about clashing, considering he was the one to fish up New Zealand and our island isn’t a living breathing person/god.

@ethereal ^^^ reasoning. Sorry.
