I’d probably get dirty looks in Scotland. What I was trying to do with the ejit was use a slang term.

Scots are super cool and nice, I think they’d understand where you’re coming from.

:eyes: Maybe?
But I was talking to you
Yeah, I felt that :(( I get demotivated sometimes.

OOOO What a unique name!
OOh, I have to do more research, that sounds so cool!
OOO Asexual :black_heart: :white_heart: :purple_heart:
WOAHHHHHH Her personality is so interesting!
And so is her bio!
I can’t wait to see her in action!
AND HER FC IS PRETTY
And don’t worry, if you have already been approved (which you have), you don’t need to add any more writing samples!

Ani, thank you so much for all of the help and resources you provided!

You can say one of her parents are irish :eyes: Maybe her dad. That’s how I get away with making more POC characters off white fairytales - :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Interracial relationship/multi-racial characters are super cool to write too, meshing the cultures together

No problem  Always aim to help

Ok. It says the Scottish accent is more rough around the edges and the Irish is more singsong.

Ok, there’s another stereotype…I thought I’d get a whisky bottle thrown at my head or something. Yeah, I’m sure they’d understand.

It says they can be either. They’re even in America, apparently. But she’s Scottish based on the accent.

That’s odd. You’re not the only one having problems. I was using a Scottish accents the whole time. I figure her dad’s from Ireland, which is where her name came from.

I’m trying to dig myself out of a culture hole

So, can I still use slang? For instance, she thought Lav was out of breath, could she say Are ye out o Pech? Are you out of breath? I just want to sprinkle some slang on there.

If it’s Scottish slang I think it could work…

Yeah, she’s not talking in Scottish. It’s just slang.

Honestly, I kinda want to try haggis…50% try it, 50% run screaming. I mean, no offense to Scottish food because I love liver, but haggis is just…um.

My liking of liver grosses out my family.

Ok. So, what I heard is that they sound similar, but the way they talk is completely different. Scottish people shortcut words, and Irish people have a lilt that Scottish don’t. That’s my take.
