I just don’t feel comfortable trying out without the proper time or equipment for recording. I don’t want to commit to something if I can’t commit consistently.

Oof me too,but you can still hear me so that’s all that matters.
Besides I also have audio editing software so when the actual full numbers are done for the musical I can always tweak the audio to sound more crisp and clear

Yep we would probably have to do some editing. I just want to get rid of the background noise and then I’m good. I’m mostly disturbed of how I sound and pronounce stuff and that’s nothing I can edit away
