Games based on books, shows, or movies

A lot of games have been made based on different kinds of media.

  • Do you like playing games that were originally books, shows, or movies?
  • What games have you played that were based on books, shows, or movies?
  • What games would you recommend that were based on books, shows, or movies?
  • Are there any books, shows, or movies that you think would make good games?

Umm… I’ve played a bunch of Harry Potter games, and uh, a Pirates of the Caribbean lego game. I can’t think of any others right now, but I did love playing these ones.

I remember playing a lego game! I think it was Harry Potter, but I don’t actually remember

Yeah, it was good fun. Though I played both as lego games. Good, good fun.

Yeah, it makes you feel like you are in that world more visually plus control of your own character in that world. Like I loved playing the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Xbox games when they came out because it was me in control of Buffy. Also, I loved playing the Harry Potter games which I’m actually playing the Harry Potter game series from year 1-7. I beat the first game already now I’m on the second one.

Well, I kind of already listed some but I’ll list more anyway. I played both Buffy the Vampire Slayer Xbox games, and most of the Harry Potter games in the past. I have played a multitude of Star Wars games, Jurassic World Evolution, and Dark Parables from Big Fish which is based on the Grimms Brother fairy tales. There is also Women’s Murder Club games, Spiderman, Batman Arkham City, Dante’s Inferno (this game is rigged with a glitch), American Mcgee’s Alice: Madness Returns, Sherlock Holmes games, and Lara Croft games as well. I did play Lord of the Rings, Barbie video games, and Disney oriented games too when I was younger. There are many more but I can’t remember them.

Harry Potter games are good though you will have to use a trick to get them to work. I’m not talking about the lego versions but the actual video game versions. Anything Star Wars I automatically recommend especially Knights of the Old Republic, Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic for good starter games. If you can get Battlefront 1 & 2 from the old series to work then play them! Oh! You need to try Star Wars: Republic Commando if you love storm troopers. I love the new Battlefront games but I haven’t gotten to play them as much. Lord of the Rings games are really cool to play I would recommend the core Lord of the Rings games, Lord of the Rings Online, and War in the North. Lara Croft games are fun too! I recommend starting from the beginning so that you get the full story. Nancy Drew games, I fully recommend these! Dark Parables games are another good series since they are based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tales in a different light but still just as dark as the original stories. Sherlock Holmes games are fun to play since they have little puzzles in them. I recommend playing Sherlock Holmes: Jack the Ripper game on Xbox.

I wish we could get Dark Hunters as a real video game since that is a cool book series, the same goes for Christine Feehan’s Dark series too. A Warrior Cats would be an awesome real video game about cats in the wild. Lucifer’s tv show turned into a video game that would be cool. I want a video game based on the new Carmen Sandiego series since I think that would succeed very much so.

Yep, they were very fun to play! One of my first tv show to video games that I played during that time. I know the first one was called Buffy the Vampire Slayer and then there was the second one called Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds. I don’t think the games are backwards compatible at the moment.
