Guitar Hero is a series of video games introduced in 2005. In these games, the player uses a guitar-shaped controller to play lead guitar, bass guitar, or rhythm guitar for different rock songs. Rock Band is a game series introduced in 2007 where players can choose between guitar, drums, or vocals for a variety of rock songs.
I never played Rock Band or Guitar Hero, but I have played Band Hero. I used to play it with my neighbors a lot. One person on guitar, one on drums (well until they broke…), and one on vocals.

I’ve heard of Guitar Hero because of Post Malone… I think he learned to play the guitar by playing Guitar Hero, or something like that?
It sounds like fun, though. I’ve played similar games but with piano controllers. Since I already know a little bit of piano, it’s a good alternative for playing my favorite songs now that I no longer have a keyboard.
