This happens a lot to my friends. They read a book while lying in bed and then fall asleep and the books fall on their faces
But it never happened to me, probably because I only notice how tired I am after reading

If I’m reading a book while I’m in bed, I would definitely fall asleep but If I’m up or by my computer desk, it’s less likely for me to fall asleep
