An Implicit Association Test, or IAT, is a test meant to determine what a person’s implicit biases are based on a series of questions.
- Have you ever taken an IAT?
- What are your thoughts on them?

I haven’t but they seem super interesting and I’d like to take one when I’m less busy
@Discussions What do you think about those tests?
I think so.
I’ve just done a couple, and lets just say I got some interesting results…
Did one on sexuality and apparently I have a slight automatic preference towards gay people basically
Also did one on race, and honestly I was a bit disappointed in myself that I got the slight automatic preference towards white people. Would have hoped for no preference at all, but at least I didn’t have the medium or high automatic preference I guess…
And a medium automatic preference for the Netherlands over the USA
Update, did one more on the association between gender and alpha/beta science, and had a medium association of male and beta and female and alpha. That test low key made me aware I might have some bias there
Just bumping this, as it’s still quite fascinating to me and I think more people might find this an interesting thread! A link as well for those interested in doing a test or 2:
