Have you ever tried to recreate your favorite book characters?

I know when I first started writing I did base my characters on characters from other books. Like for instance, I made a fanfiction recreation of Achilles with a very old version of my original story. I loved his character so much. Though I took that whole section out of the story.

Have you ever tried to recreate your favorite book characters? In what way did you do this?

I dressed up as Hermonie Granger for school, though she was never my favourite character.

Nice, I think I did something similar but I can’t remember which character it was.

Yes, when I was a kid, I loved the Babysitters’ Club series, and I’d often try to dress like Stacey, my favorite baby sitter, and pretend to be her.
In the Cupcake Diaries series, my favorite character was Mia, but I wanted her to have a different crush and a different family. So, for example, whenever someone called her mom ‘Sara’ in the book, I’d pretend it said ‘Sofia’, and whenever Mia described her crush, Chris, I’d read his name as ‘Max’ and pretend he was short instead of tall.

Nice, I did the same thing with Draco Malfoy but instead Harry had a sister who then had a crush on Draco. I have no idea why I came up with this idea. It’s not written down but it still very fresh on my mind.
