It’s headed towards havfever season which for me is not good. Fortunately I have my anti histamines. Something else I recommend is nasal spray and if your eyes are itchy rinsing them out. So let’s talk about hayfever and share tips!
I always get hay fever at the beginning of summer and then I’m fine!
I’m the kinda person who gets itchy skin when they sit on grass or something. A bit of moisturiser with aloe Vera in it really helps
I’m allergic to grass in general hayfever just amplifies it for me. I remember being in Cornwall on holiday and my parents insisted on sitting in a field of grass to eat lunch and I was just covered in a rash with red eyes
That’s awful! that sounds like more than our good friend aloe can solve!
Does it help if you wear long sleeves?
Yeah it does I only get the rash when the grass touches my skin but sitting in a field was like rubbing myself in it
…what’s hayfever ;-;
Basically an allergy to pollen
Oh that’s interesting
I try to keep my windows closed and whenever I want to go out I check the forecast and see how high the pollen count is. That’s how I’m always prepared for the worst…
But right now I’m not going out anyway…
Ughhhh my seasonal allergies are killing me rn. Thank goodness my apartment walls are thick because I basically scream every time I sneeze and otherwise, I think my neighbors would call the police
I don’t have any seasonal allergies or hayfever
My oldest nephew has seasonal allergies and I can always hear him sneeze through the wall… he doesn’t even sneeze that strong, but their living room is next to mine, and I guess the sounds come out through the bottom of the front door. Because the bedroom walls are pretty thick… I never hear anything when I’m in my bedroom or my mom’s.
Pollen sucks!!! I hate springtime, and springtime hates me. My allergies bother me year round, but spring is the worst. Most specifically, the calendar month of April. Sometimes my allergies get worse in the few days leading up to April, but it seems like April 1st my allergies instantly get worse. Then I don’t feel relief until May 1st usually. Why must the month of my birthday hate me…?
What tends to help the the most during spring is a strict regiment of taking a Zyrtec and a Tylenol, and sometimes a decongestant also, each morning. It doesn’t fix it all, but it lessens to a level where I don’t lose my sanity and can actually function. If I step outside for too long, then I start sneezing even more for the rest of the day. Large sneezes, that end up giving me a headache. Plus if I actually try to blow my nose enough where I can fully breathe, then I’m likely to have a nose bleed.
In short, April sucks…
Yeah, Zyrtec helps (and Tylenol/acetaminophen for the headache that ensues) but I am so bad at taking a daily dose/hate taking medicine. It also seems to either be too strong or not work, there is no happy medium haha
Luckily I’m pretty good with taking medicine, but I still occasionally forget if I’m not reminded, at this time of year I make certain I remember. Sometimes it barely helps, but I know when I forget to take it, cause it turns out a whole lot worse. Even if it only helps a tiny bit, any relief is better than nothing.
My hayfever has been pretty bad today
So my friend told me that her hayfever got better because she got to stay inside because of corona this year so she wasn’t so exposed to the plants she’s allergic to
Did anyone have similar experiences?
My Mum has really bad hay fever all summer long. She tries to stay inside as much as possible and eats a lot of honey, I don’t know of that really helps
