Herbal remedies discussion

I did used to have a thread that was herbal remedies vs non-herbal but this is more to talk about herbal remedies in general and if you use them so here are some questions:

Have you used them?
If yes did they help?
If no why not?
Would you recommend them?
Do you think they should be used more?

Maybe? :eyes:

No? :eyes:

I dunno, maybe because eating leaves completely unrelated to your ailment won’t do anything :eyes:

Why not, the placebo seems to do wonders :eyes:

Doesn’t bother me :eyes:

Have you used them?

Uh… do organic/homemade lotions and balms count

If yes did they help?

If they do then yes I think they do.

If no why not?

Uh… if no then each to their own. If others want to use them then that’s up to them.

Would you recommend them?

Sure?

Do you think they should be used more?

Probably.

I’m not sure if its an herbal remedy… but theres this tea and its called ‘Cold 911’ and its a mix of peppermint, eucalyptus, and something else that I forget… but I swear every time I’m sick it helps so much

As an Asian, herbal remedies are part of life. Somehow in every simple dish or drink, there is some herbal ingredients in them :joy:

So…

Yup! Knowingly and unknowingly :joy:

I would say a little. It doesn’t truly cure, but it does help in terms of reducing the symptoms. But, usually it helps a lot in common colds.

I mean, sure. I can recommend the common, simple ones that does not affect the taste or doesn’t have any drastic effects. E.g. tea, ginger, turmeric etc

I would say its no harm in trying for these simple ingredients.
However, at all costs, avoid unknown traditional medications (you don’t really know what herbs are being used), cause its common that they add some sort of steroids etc, which will initially cure your illness, but later on will affect other organs, which in some drastic cases, it may lead to organ failure etc.

You may try with simple ingredients as mentioned, but never try unknown commercialised herbal products

Tea is a cure for everything
Mark my words

I don’t use any kinds of medication. When I’m sick I only drink tea my dad makes because he likes to research herbal remedies hahaha

I do still think tea is a rad cure for everything

But my mum started getting herbal pills and medication things instead of regular things and they never work I hate it :joy:
