I was looking for a site to post my story on after a… Misadventure with Figment. I saw that WP had stories that had hundreds of thousands of reads and thought it had potential. Oh boy, was I right. Potential for so many things :'D
I came there to read Les Misérables for free because the real books in the bookstore near my house were too costly lol (and I wasn’t aware of Amazon that time).
I accidentally spied on what my sister was doing using the laptop. She was reading a story from Wattpad and out of curiosity, I checked.
I found out about it back when I was in grade school (2012). Wattpad was a craze back then, and there were plenty of girls I know who were obsessed with the community romance stories there. Some of my elementary friends even wrote K-pop fan fiction on it 
I discovered in back when I used to be in the episode community and I had a friend who writes stories on the app, so through her I started reading her stories there.
A google search on places to publish stories.
