I listen to more metal than my dad does, and I also listen to Nordic Folk Music and Vaporwave.
Most the genres of music that I listen to, my parents don’t.

Kind of similar, somehow, because my mom almost always ends up liking what I like. She has pretty good taste in music as well, even though sometimes there are songs she likes that are ‘ehhhhh’ to me.
My dad also liked a lot of the same music as me, so I’d always introduce him to new stuff, and he usually liked it. Both my parents were/are pretty open about listening to different types of music, so that’s great.

My taste is music is very different from my parents
We do have some artists or songs we all like but for the most part, I mostly like k-pop and rock but my parents like country and 80s pop

Ah…but what music do your parents like?
Pop, metal (quite some sub-genres of metal), grunge, rap. But it’s all the basics and or really popular songs. So I do listen to a good amount of the same music, just have a lot more variety and listen to a lot of “unpopular” music that they would see as odd.

Ah no. But the melodies they hear are very much slower than the ones i hear.
So it would be they prefer more slow music
While prefer faster ones

My parents basically don’t listen to any music at all, while it’s so important to me… As in type of music, it’s not really that different honestly.
