How does history influence music?

History influences music by giving musicians something to write about I guess :joy: well according to this article historians listen to music from older times just to get an idea of the culture and way things were back then. Also major historical events and tragedies can have songs written about them, whether they be nursery rhymes like Ring o’ Roses or full on songs like any of these.

Well, music has changed with each era, even with each decade, so I guess music changes with history.
