Just as there are different dialects in the Philippines, those dialects also have their own scripts. Two that I know are baybayin of Tagalog and badlit of Bisaya, written in the form of abugida (?) system. It was used before the Spanish colonization and the Latin alphabet, somewhere around or before the 16th century. Some people today are still into it, even wanting to return it to life. The original form of these scripts are actually lacking, but the modernization of it completed the set.
