There is actually a huge link between fashion and music, if you take things like punk or emo, those are styles that were made popular by the bands who dressed that way! Also there are some huge fashion icons in the music industry like Lady Gaga or David Bowie!

When I was a teenager, my friends and I always wanted to dress like our favorite singers.
I think music influences fashion, especially our personal fashion choices, more than we realize. We pay attention to what the artists we listen to wear and if you like what they wear, then you’re more likely to emulate it and incorporate it into your wardrobe.
Yes but I feel that’s more true of “celebrities” in general and not just music ones. As films and TV do the same thing. It’s more the stars being snapped in tabloids from events and such, that’s where the fashion comes in, no?
