How often do you use royalty-free art?

I used royalty-free art a lot when I was working on stuff in Episode, because that kind of art can be used without having to pay royalties on it. I definitely couldn’t afford to commission or license art that I would’ve wanted, so it was really the best option. I don’t use it at all now that, because I really don’t find much of a use for it.

When I use anything it’s always royalty free. It’s basically the only thing you can actually use without paying money.

I use public domain sites for my stuff. Also, I will purchase the commercial use on pngtree if I can’t find any royalty free items.

I use Pixabay and Unsplash to find stuff! Since it’s all free to use and stuff (as far as I know)

I use it mostly for stand-alone overlays, since I can hardly ever find a royalty-free background that looks realistic enough to use in my story. I have purchased background/overlay sets from artists who make them, but whenever I can find something free, I’ll use it.
