Integration of AI in Google

Recently I’ve noticed when I Google stuff, I automatically see an AI answer. This is something that’s been integrated fairly recently and it sort of scared me.
In some cases AI simply is not factually correct yet, and this level of integration will make it so many people only read the AI answer. I can imagine many scenarios where that’s just not a smart idea.
Anyone else been having this AI integration (not sure how it’s rolled out worldwide) and what’s everyone’s thoughts on it?

Yeah, when you see stuff like this you don’t know if you should laugh at how stupid it is, or cry because if Google has the audacity to call this sh*t a feature, what is this world coming to?

Oof I already thought it could be bad, but this is like much worse than I thought :sob:
I feel like this really is a recipe for disaster, like I don’t know who thought this was a good idea

Well apparently Google, in it’s original form, was a response to a problem because there used to be this search enginge but it was full of ads and clutter and it wasn’t all that good, so Google was promised to be an add free search engine, straightforward and having what you need be on the top. Now ofc, Google lived long enough to see itself become the villain, but I just hope how back then Google was made to solve these problems, in future somebody else might make a better search engine that’s everything Google promised to be in the start and no longer offers.
