It closed, it’s going to be revamped soon though.
I’m still confused
Dw.
Hopefully Micah and Rain will finally have their friendship moment at last.
Okay, so since my story was released today, I’m going to do a few exercises with my MC so everyone can get to know her.
Name: Emilianna Saab
- Favourite colour? Pale pink. Not any shade of pink. JUST pale, soft, princessy pink.
- Favourite food? Manoushe. It’s a type of flatbread topped with olive oil and a spice called zaathar.
- Biggest fear? Losing anything and everything that’s important to her.
- Fondest memory? High school graduation.
- Worst memory? That time in 7th grade when… well, this is a spoiler, so I’ll just say… when something happened that made her transfer to another school.
- What do they like most about themselves? She considers herself intelligent, beautiful, and charismatic.
- What do they like least about themselves? She doesn’t take criticism well at all.
- Sexuality? Straight, but asexual… she’s aesthetically attracted to men but doesn’t experience sexual attraction.
- Parents’ names? Ibrahim and Faizah
- Biggest motivation in the story? To prove she’s not just a pampered rich adult and can actually succeed in the job she never knew she needed.
- What makes them cry? Sometimes silly, first-world problems, like not getting her way. But also humiliation, rejection, and getting her feelings hurt by those she cares about the most.
- What makes them really angry? Like, REALLY angry? Her boss and some of the horrible parents of the spoiled brats she teaches.
- Favorite person? Well, at the beginning of the story, herself… but later on, her cousins.
- Biggest flaw? She’s so spoiled and entitled. She thinks the world revolves around her.
- Biggest struggle in the story? Learning the hard way that the world DOESN’T revolve around her, and trying to prove her worth at a very demanding job.
- Most annoying quality? She tends to be oblivious to the struggles of those less fortunate than her.
- Most endearing quality? When she cares enough about someone, she’s 100% loyal.
- What makes them different/special? Emilianna’s kind of an anti-hero because she’s such a brat, but at the same time, she’s determined to show that she CAN do what she never thought she wanted to do.
- What purpose do they serve in the story? The world may not revolve around her, but the story does. It’s about how a spoiled rich girl became an elementary school teachers with the most difficult kids ever.
- Why did you write them? My inspiration came from two sources. One, because I taught a group of kids like this last year, and wanted to incorporate that experience into a fictional story somehow… and then, one evening in late September, I was reading a story about a very spoiled girl that believed she was the center of the universe… so I started thinking, ‘Wouldn’t it be interesting if a girl like that had to teach the group I had last year?’ Well… that’s how Emilianna Saab was born.
Object + Emotion Exercise
I probably would have carried more boxes if they weren’t so heavy… like, I’m SO not used to carrying heavy stuff and I just got my nails done. Matte acrylic, by the way.
Aunt Saf was making kibbeh in the kitchen, Em and Adib were playing video games in the living room, and both Uncle Abbas and Soph were at the cafe. Perfect… the coast was clear. I carried three more of those little shoeboxes to my room. I made six trips in total. My arms ached, but once I opened them and saw those colorful paperbacks, it was so worth it. Happy memories flooded into my mind as I inspected the covers of those books… Girl Talk, Baby-Sitters’ Club, Sleepover Friends, Cupcake Diaries… oh my gosh, I couldn’t wait to re-read them!
“Emilianna? WHY is there a mountain of books strewn all over my side of the room?”
Sophia was standing in the doorway, with a disapproving look on her face.I glanced at my watch. OH Em Gee! Had I really been reading for hours?
Character: Emilianna
Thanks for these
Since I’ve released Deadly Nightshade, it’s high time that I do one with everyone’s favourite baddie, Angelina!
Name: Angelina Imani Rutherford-Thornton (first-person)
- Favourite colour: Red, of course. The colour of passion.
- Favourite food: Tourtiere, a meat pie here in Canada. Without the pork, of course. I do love poutine and apple pie as well…
- Biggest fear? Losing my power and everything that comes with it. Failure, perhaps.
- Fondest memory? Getting the Thornton mansion as my own.
- Worst memory? Shh… it’s a secret.
- What do they like most about themselves? My charisma and ambition, or as other people say, my “wickedness”.
- What do they like least about themselves? My sensitivity. I get too emotional.
- Sexuality? Straight.
- Parents’ names? Mom, Kalinda. My dad, I never knew the man.
- Biggest motivation in the story? To become the Chairwoman of Peridale Corporations and rule over that vast empire.
- What makes them cry? My ex, guilt, and humilation.
- What makes them really angry? My plans getting ruined, people brining up my past, the Thorntons and Cynthia Thornton.
- Favourite person? At first, Rosemary Clermont, but then… Jang Hee-bin. She and I are very similar…
- Biggest flaw? My willingness to do certain things to achieve my goals.
- Biggest struggle in the story? Accepting that I can’t erase the past.
- Most annoying quality? My selfishness. That’s not annoying, I care about myself. Duh.
- Most endearing quality? My friendliness.
(Author time!) - What makes them different/special? Angelina isn’t a villain who does bad things just to do it, she has reasons why, and sometimes, she does regret some of the things she does for herself. Her perseverance and ambition make her stand out in a crowd.
- What purpose do they serve in the story? To show that no one is inherently good or bad, but that experiences shape us into who we are as people. It’s also to showcase, in a way, mental illness and the self-battles that come with it.
- Why did you write them?
Why
I have so many reasons for writing Angelina. In fact, I’d been planning for a story like this and a character like her for a while, nearly a year. During the planning, I had been going through really bad depression due to so many things happening in my life, things that I felt were out of control. My control. So, I was chilling on my bed on a nice July/August day and saw that there was a Halloween writer’s contest by a user on there, since there were no Creator’s Contest by Episode at the time. I set to work immediately, planning the characters, creating them, figuring out roles and getting major inspiration. At one point, I wanted Cynthia to be the MC. Then I realised that I only had one story with a black MC, and that Episode certainly needs more diversity! So I made Angelina the MC. And people wanted an evil MC, or someone they could relate to. I wanted to twist my cliches of revenge and ambition stories and make something different. When I first wrote it, I was definitely satisfied with it but… It needed work. When does she become a villain? What causes that turning point? What are her motives? To get answers, I read Macbeth and wrote down everything that happened, scene by scene and act by act. Ultimately, I came up with the full structure, the beginning, middle and end, as well as all the characters. Eventually, I ended up, with the help of some writers here, writing 4 full episodes and developing all the characters quite well!
In essence, I wanted an evil MC to relate to, mental health was bad, looked for inspiration, got it from a Shakespeare play and a 2014 Korean drama, planned it out and wrote the story.
If you want, you can PM me more about the character(s).
Episode story?
Yup.

Wow I have not been on these forums in the loongesT time damn.
Yes, yes I did
Oh wow, thanks
Not a story… supposed to be in a roleplay but like. That still hasn’t happened yet.
Thank you~!
@katabasis this has nothing to do with this thread but I need to tell you that I’m banned on episode, so I can’t join in with Camp Half Blood.

Has anyone ever tried playing monopoly or battleships in your characters point of view?
No, I never thought about that. Interesting idea though. @Rose we could make a forum game in the lounge plus on the regular section with this. When I say I mean the three of us,
Sounds cool, I don’t think I’ve played those games though
YoU hAvEnT PLaYeD MonOpOLY?!
Really? They are staple games that everyone plays.
