Im genuinely curious. To me kpop is just pop in korean so wouldn’t “kpop in other languages” be just pop music??

I’ve seen k-pop bands release versions of their songs in Japanese, which I would still be tempted to argue are k-pop songs

Japanese pop is J-pop
In English, k-pop is just pop
But the cultures are still widely different. Double standards suck
