Jump Shot (Episode Featured Story)

Have you read it? What did you think of it? Would you recommend it as a featured story?

I haven’t read it and probably won’t, but just by looking at the description and cover, it seems like there’s going to be a love triangle between the coach, one of the players, and the mc

I was just thinking of the grammar. To me it seems like no one ever proofreads Episode Originals :eyes:

smh it’s such a major disappointment, honestly xD

Like, some of the stories could actually be good if there was just a little more effort revision.
Its hard to take them seriously when they have stories like that, and at this point all of the featured stories are just the same characters with similar stories.

Nooooo… not poor grammar! SIGH!

So true. I’ve seen some stories that might actually have potential being good, but the trite concepts and poor execution just ruin them by a lot. Yeah, it makes me think they have the mindset of “Ooh this one sells a lot, let’s do/look for it again!” and it’s sad because they’re missing out :eyes:

The best Featured Story they have (in my opinion) is The Infected but they bought the rights to it before the author finished it so the last episode has two thirds that has no backgrounds or characters and they haven’t even bothered to put a warning or try to fix it.

I think I’ve read the first Episode of the original story before. I like how they had Asian MC and LIs, but the story is not really my thing. Plus, the MC is a perfect example of the “I’m not like the other girls” female character, which irks me.

I was also turned off with the unrealistic “diversity” look of the supporting characters. The author attempted for diversity, but the characters don’t even look like real people.

The thing that bothers me the most about this trope, is that it does exist. The only thing is that the “I’m not like other girls” girl is a tad gay. At least that’s what I’ve noticed with myself. Episode always botches it as this girl who acts nothing like the others, turns into the exact copy of any other girl at that school. She has no personality except sarcasm and some angst, she doesnt really have any hobbies/interests other than swimming in this case, and she’s always the most popular girl at school but because she’s nice. Not because shes mean, unlike the other “popular girl”.
By the end of the story she’s basically eating out of the LIs hand. That isn’t character Development, despite what Episode thinks. That’s character… de-development.

I probably won’t like it.

Because first:

1.The grammar in the description is already bad.

  1. It’s an episode featured the only good episode featured story was “All I want for Christmas”

3.Probs going to be to much gems.

I dont like it, like all of the others its a lesser more money hungry version of a story that already exists
