Japanese Students
Hello, my lovely Japanese students. You are going to need the following:

  • my email for any questions & concerns - melancholy.solivagant@gmail.com
  • Your Japanese Textbook: https://ia800201.us.archive.org/29/items/Genki/Genki%20-%20Elementary%20Japanese%20I.pdf you’ll need your own copy of this every day of class unless otherwise said for your own personal markups (I reccomend adobe or lumin pdf editor) and notes!
  • Quizziz account for your quizzes and stuff
  • A notebook and folder. It can be online but studies shows writing things out helps you recall things.
  • Your dedication, I will do my best to lead you to success but you have to open the door! Be dedicated in your self study.

(edit)

Things to look forward to

  • Speaking in Japanese, we will speaking with each other and since you’re a small group you won’t have to stress as much
  • Watching Japanese anime, for research purposes of course
  • Learning something new!

Omgg thank you for this! I love learning new languages and it’s a stress buster for me. I’ll think which language I wanna learn and tell you guys by tomorrow.

So I have a doubt, like if I opt for more languages, won’t it be mixed up in my head. Or will I get a chance to learn other language after I learn one?

Sorry lol I’m just confused.

There are some you won’t mix up, Like Japanese and Italian that have completely different writing systems. However that’s a possibility with a combination of languages, which is why it’s important to study and keep notes seperate for each language. Like maybe you’ll write French words in pink in and Italian in purple or find a way to seperate the two. If this goes well, when I finish with a group I will reopen it to the public ^^ It’s really up to you how you want to do it. You can do it 1 language or multiple at a time.

Okay that makes sense. Thanks for answering this! I heard that Spanish is easy for English speakers. Is that true?

Also can you add me for Japanese, Spanish and French for now?

It is the easiest language in theory to learn because of it’s clean-cut grammar style and some other tings. German however would be the easiest to learn for English speakers, there’s a lot of cognates and things. And if you learn Spanish then it’s easier to learn the follwing: Italian, Romanian, French, and Portugese but in my opinion for German it’s whole 'nother world, I’m doing the vocab for German and it’s :0

Yeah, sounds great!

First Day of Class

Tommorow I will post the google classrooms for all the languages and you will have some assignments (don’t worry! The deadlines/due dates will be lax). I will make a thread for each language self study where you can talk and share as well!! I’m so excited to begin with you guys
