When I think about or look at Graffiti, I really do love and appreciate it. I’m not talking about tagging either, where people with not much time on their hands decide to spray their name all over the city in a poor attempt to try to claim it. No, I’m talking to the beautiful art pieces that some very talented artists can create.
Banksy is a great example, for instance.
Yeah, those last three are in my home town. In the last year, the council commissioned for many, many artists to create many artworks. I think we have at least 15 spread out around the centre of town.
I’ve seen some amazing murals that were commissioned by the city or building and it makes everything look so pretty and breaks up the normal flat colors of everything
Ooooo I love them! I wish we had more of them in my town, instead we are full of spray painted nonsense that just makes everything worse. I still don’t get why people stain walls and buildings with swear words or words that make no sense
