🅲🅻🅾🅽🅴 - Aries and Knox - Day 2
Aries looked over at her with a shocked expression that was clearly dramatized for effect. “You’d kill me? Over business spoils?” He shrugged. “It’s a good thing I’m already a rich business guy then.”
He laughed when she said she’d go to him instead of Google. “What were you searching up on google anyway? How not to get hacked when you’ve bought gum from an unreliable website?”
Aries followed in behind her, a smile still painting his feautures. He enjoyed mot having to go all crazy to invoke some interesting characteristics from Knox. She was defintely someone he could be friends with.
He stood just behind her as he looked up at the menu, lips pursed in thought. He leaned forward towards her shoulder as he pointed to the many sweets being presented. “Carbs. Carbs, and more carbs. Today’s your lucky day princess,” he said with a smirk as they walked up to order.
“Can I get two orders of waffles with tons of whipped cream and strawberries?”
The cashier smiled and nodded, inputting the order. “Anything else?”
He looked over at Knox as he pulled put his wallet flicking his head over to the menu with a challenging smile. “Go crazy.”
🅲🅻🅾🅽🅴 - With Heather - Current Day
Aries just stared at her for a moment before sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose. “And Heather still acts like a kid herself,” he retorted.
“So, like, where have you been? I know that I don’t go out much but I haven’t seen you at all during this lockdown.”
He shrugged as he began walking again, his hands in his pockets as he surveyed the games and rides.
“I’m the brightest ray of sunshine Lime Grove has to offer. How could you not see my blindingly shiny aura?” He teased, looking over at her with a playful grin before giving a better explanation. “Nah. You know how my dad is. Wants me working my head off. The business has been dealing with hacker after hacker trying to get into our system. Now you-you’ve defintely disappeared around here.” He then looked over to her with gasp to show he was just teasing about his next comment. “You’re not avoiding lil ol’ me are you?”
🅲🅻🅾🅽🅴 - Aries and Hestia - Day 1
"Shot contest every Sunday right after church service.”
“Must be why a lot of Priests are skeptical about red-haired Hestia’s in the first place then.”
He laughed at her comment but stayed silent as he watched her grab the tequila bottle. A brow lifted but but he knew better than to take alcohol away from Hestia.
“Chocolate, because you’ll be pleased by the fake appearance of the vanilla cake for so long. Beauty fades, besides, you’re going to eat it. It won’t matter in the end.”
Instead of responding, Aries pondered on her response, taking another sip from his glass. It wasn’t the response he wanted right now because it was the more complicated response that he didn’t want to deal with.
Hestia walked to the door to get the pizza and he let out a sigh as he walked over to the bottle, pouring more into his cup. Swirling around the contents in his glass (as if he even had anything to mix around at all) he stared at the wall on the other side of the room with blank interest. The vanilla cake was supposedly not the best one for the party. Yet as he thought on his father, his past and current issues…wasn’t the vanilla the most safest in the long run?
Aries was brought away from his thoughts by a very familar and unwelcomed sound. He lifted a brow, Hestia now taking a bit too long with the pizza. It was probably just someone walking their furry monster around.
Aries had been facing the other direction when Hestia called for his attention. He was in the middle of taking a drink when he turned around and his eyes widened. He immediately spit our the tequila, setting the cup down as he wiped his mouth with his fingertips.
He coughed as he tried to speak but as soon as the puppy came running over he jumped up and ran for the couch. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” He shouted, standing up on the cushions as the puppy lolled it’s tongue around as if it would eat him at any second. He bent over and grabbed a pillow, waving it around at the dogs face.
“Hestia,” Aries growled through grit teeth. He cleared his throat, only now realizing his secret fear of dogs was shining through. He looked back and gave a tight smile and nervous laugh. “I’ve got terrible allergies ya know-GRAAAH!” The puppy took hold of the pillow and he willingly let go, shooing it away with his arms. “Take it! Take it!”
@katabasis - you’re friggin evil
Adeline and Henry - Current Day
Adeline went from tensing at his touch to a clenched jaw when he began ruffling her hair. She swatted it away, giving him a warning look but he hadn’t even paid attention to it as he continued.
She only gave a clearly fake laugh at his comment about being kind when she wasn’t being difficult.
Adeline let out a breath of relief when he agreed. Yes, she was dragging him into a really lame situation. But she’d helped him before. It was the least he could do for her, right? It was probably just an excuse she made up to keep her blameless from it all.
“Great!”
Preston was staring a hole straight into Henry’s head, but surprisingly he finally relaxed and walked over, shoving the bear into Henry’s hands. “Hold this then. Maybe it was smart to have a third person to hold everything,” he stated snarkily, lifting up his chin as he began walking. Adeline chewed her lip nervously but began walking alongside Henry, reaching for the bear so he wouldn’t have to carry it.
“He hates fairs, fried food, screaming babies, bugs, and having fun. Do you realize this is the perfect oppurtunity to-”
“What are you two doing back there?” Preston asked curiously, stopping.
Adeline’s mouth shut and without thinking she gave out a burst of laughter and punched Henry in the arm.
“You’re soooooooo duuuuuumb!”
This was evidently not her strong suit. She was falling miserably. Lucky for her, Preston wasn’t catching on to her betrayal. He was way too generous in the pedestal he’d put Adeline on.
As they continued walking, Adeline spotted the rollercoaster she’d been looking forward to in the center of the fair. She was looking forward to it mostly because Preston would either chicken out ooooooor he’d puke and want to go home. It was the preferred option of the two.
“It’s tradition to tackle Twisted Metal first,” Adeline stayed with a cocksure grin, moving quickly towards the line.
Preston looked skyward and immediately became paler than he already was. “Ad-Ad-No-no-”
“Oh come ooooooon! Even Henry’s going! Isn’t that right?” She said, a hand on her hips as she looked over at her partner in crime with a devilish smirk.
@aesthetic - why dis man so smexy dough
Aries with Aurie - Current Day
As her breath tickled his ear, his back admittedly tightened but his calm demeanor remained. And this was why the two couldnt hang out with it getting troublesome. “You’re not fair, ya know that?” He said with a lifted brow as she moved away.
She pushed him away and at her comment, his eyes cautiously scanned the area. She was right about that at least. He sighed but put lifted his hands up in some type of surrender. “Fine. Then don’t go asking for it Miss spawn of the Devil himself.”
As she practically skipped around the park, Aries kept slightly behind, a smile on his lips as he watched her childishly look at it all in amazement. It was cute, and he was glad that the two of them could actually let loose and act like immature idiots tonight. It’s what they usually did.
“Last one is the rotten egg,"
Aries gave her an unimpressed look. “Really? I’m not doing it!”
Though as she ran off, he clicked his tongue and ran after her, accidentally pushing past a romantic couple and another kid with ice cream. He sped up, always the type to win a challenge even if it was as childish as this one. He finally caught up to Aurie’s side and looked over at her, holding up an L with his fingers. “And you were giving me crap for-” just as Aries looked forward again, his head slammed into the sign giving the name of the ride and the information needed to ride it.
He groaned as he pulled back, rubbing his nose and holding out a finger to Aurie. “Don’t you dare say anything,” he hissed, walking into the line.
