Here I was, trying to distract myself by thinking of puppies and strawberry lemonade - but nope. It wasn’t working this time. This was going to be a very long night. I mean, I was twenty four. Why was I acting childish? Okay, I always acted like a child - not the point. The point was that I was good at denial; she was my bestie even. It was a dare, nothing special. I just needed a distraction and everything would be A - okay. He was a good kisser. I quickly shut my eyes and hummed randomly to the music. Noooopppee. Distraction. “You’re still annoying though” I turned to look at him, scrunching my nose up playfully as I gave him a smile. “You’re still annoying though.” I said, raising my brows at him. See? Everything was back to normal. He was still annoying. Think about puppies, Addy, just think about puppies.
“You, Truth or dare?” The girl from earlier pointed at me.
I rolled my eyes, then told her to give me a dare. That’s what I usually went with.
“I dare you to pour this on your head or in your clothes. Even a little droplet would satisfy me.”
I narrowed my eyes at her. That f-cking b-tch. I thought for a moment about what I could do. I was not about to ruin my clothes or make myself look like an idiot. But I wasn’t going to be the first one to back out either. I thought a bit more, then came to a conclusion and smiled wickedly at the woman. “Of course.” I grabbed the glass from her, then held it over the top of her head, quickly pouring it all on her before she could move out of the way. Even though the glass was now empty, there were still some droplets inside. I tilted my head back and positioned the glass above my lips, so a droplet would fall on them. I was only told to pour the glass on my head or in my clothes and technically, my face was part of my head and the amount that I had to pour on myself was never specified. I then brought the glass down and looked at the woman dead in the eyes, before slowly licking my lips. “Mm, you know, that little droplet satisfied me too.” I laughed dryly, then set the glass down on a counter and looked at Addison.
I noticed that she and a guy seemed to be hitting it off. “Addison, truth or dare?” I asked. Once she answered with dare, I thought for a moment. “Well, this one’s basic, but how about you give your friend over there a lap dance? The one you just kissed. And put effort into it, make him…enjoy it.”
I was curious as to who Miles would choose. It would be basic to go for a guy, and predictable, but something told me Miles wasn’t predictable. He looked at Addison and made his way to her. I knew how good of friends the two were, but one action can change the whole relationship.
Miles carefully tilted Addison’s chin up and settled his lips onto hers. As much as they didn’t want to show it, they both enjoyed it. I raised an eyebrow and smirked.
I couldn’t deny, I was a bit jealous as Miles was my ex, but I was glad Miles chose Addison. She deserved the best, and hopefully Miles would see that.
I chuckled at Miles remark.
I was disappointed in Miles, like everyone else. Chug water? Water? We’re billionaires in a million dollar club, all the booze in the world at our disposal… and you make her chug water? I didn’t know Heather, but by her bad a— attitude and style, she’d be able to do it. Heather chugged the water and I wasn’t nearly surprised, but what did surprise me was the drama that followed.
Following Heathers dare, Melina was obligated to pouring booze over her. It shocked me when she poured it over Heather and a drop on herself. The room filled with gasps, laughs, and exclaims. I chuckled. “Fight, fight, fight!” I began chanting. I didn’t know who would come out victorious, but I did know sh-t was about to go down and I was here for it all.

She listened to Aria and narrowed her eyes, actually thinking about her words. Maybe Adeline was just thinking too much. Maybe she just needed to…go for it. No plans, no thinking. Just do. She heard someone shouting about a game of truth or dare and looker over. The announcer almost made her gag and want to run the other way. Leo and her had been in a relationship. But it ended with her of course getting brutally hurt in the process. She sighed and looked over at Aria. “Well. What better things we got to do in a club anyway?”
She made sure to bring her glass over as she headed over to the party circle.

Aries had barely begun talking with Ian before he saw Leo stand up and announce the lost basic party game ever. Did he want to be associated with Leo? Not even a tiny bit. But did he want to play a childish truth or dare game just to make everyone super uncomfortable? Heck yeah.
Aries out an arm around Ian, flicking his head in the direction of the gathering circle. “Imma go be a kid over there. Excellent talking to you though amigo,” he said before heading over. As aries walked over, he spotted Amèile sitting there quite out of her element. They’d met at a mandatory Lime Grove ceremony, and he immediately took notice of her lack of big-party social skills. In fact, he wouldn’t be surprised if she found Aries uncomfortable considering he paid no attention to personal boundaries. But it made it all the more entertaining. He basically shimmied over and pointed a finger at her, lifting his glasses up on top of his head.
“Oui Oui mademoiselle,” he dropped himself almost lazily just next to her, looking over with a lazy grin. “I really didn’t expect to see you here if I’m being at all honest. But that’s not to say I’m not glad you did. Why’d you decide to come?”

I was watching as the game went on and I bit my lip, noticing that a fight might break out after a girl poured a drink on another girl and then someone else began chanting and telling them to fight. If a fight ensued, I decided that I might just leave. I was definitely out of my element and felt a little awkward.

I looked over to see Aries, who just plopped down right next to me as he pointed his finger at me. “That doesn’t even make sense.” I chuckled.
“I really didn’t expect to see you here if I’m being at all honest. But that’s not to say I’m not glad you did. Why’d you decide to come?”
I rubbed the back of my neck, then shrugged. “I’m not quite sure, to be honest,” I told him. “I mean, I don’t usually go to events like these. I just thought I might as well, with the lockdown and everything?” I looked at my fingers as I fiddled with my rings, then looked back at Aries. “How are you holding up with that news?”
It was like slow motion when I saw Melina walk over to me and pour the drink on my head. Then she had the NERVE to just pour it on her lips. I was seeing red. I walked up to her face and pointed my finger at her. “Don’t ever do that again.” I was so angry that I could have done more and mopped the floor with her but didn’t bother. But hey, I could have put on a good show for everyone. I bumped really hard into her as I walked away, slightly shoving her also.

He shifted in his seat so he could better look at her. “How do you end up loosening up is my question? Are you secretly a crazy drunk who turns into a stripper when the sun don’t shine?”
“Well maybe I need a bit more lessons in French. And I swear, Lumiere says it several times in Beauty and the Beast,”
I chuckled. “I mean, it was correct but it didn’t make sense in this context,” I told him.

I shrugged. “Yeah, I guess. I mean, I was spending time with Serafina earlier so I wasn’t bored, but we just ended up coming here. I don’t know if this was the best decision or not.”

I laughed, then shook my head. “No, I mean I do behave differently when I’m drunk, but I try not to get drunk often. I don’t want to do anything that I might regret. But why do you want to know?” I asked, cocking my head to the side slightly. “Maybe you’ll just have to find out,” I told him playfully with a smile. I wasn’t uptight in the first place, but I guess sometimes I definitely could loosen up.

He ran his hand along his jaw before giving a small smile. “What? Half-naked girls and guys playing high school games isn’t your thing?” He chuckled before flicking his head over to the side. “There’s tons of little private spots around here in case you need to catch a break. Just in case. I wouldn’t blame you for feeling overwhelmed.”
He thought a moment before responding. “I was going to continue my little Aries Adventures and take a trip to Egypt for a week or two. Before that just a small cruise.” The cruise was for him and his fiancee but he wasn’t about to bring that up. Not when he was trying to enjoy himself.
When she mentioned France, Aries looked over, catching the bittersweet smile. It was probably hard to be so far away from the place you were raised and no doubt a place you loved.
He took another drink and thought for a moment. “I went to France a couple times for business. Never got to actually…enjoy it. So. Pretend we’re in France right now.”
He smirked, seeing her reaction and leaning over, his words low as if they were planning something scandalous. “Humor me.” He pointed to the bar, an open smile still present as he spoke. “What kind of shop would you find there? Or no, wait, don’t tell me; food?”
“Maybe you’ll just have to find out,”
Aries brows lifted before an amused grin met his lips. Placing a hand on his heart, he gestured his drink at her. “And she’s a smooth talker. I think I might just have to find out.”
She first wanted to get something interesting out of people, something she could possibly use but it was clear people wouldn’t really reveal anything they don’t want others to know about them. So after asking one question, she leaned back putting her elbow on the couch and resting her head in her hand. She did like knowing everything, having some dirt on someone was basically necessary for her if she wanted to live in peace here but seeing that won’t work now she really hoped something interesting would happen, with dares.
It did start good; hearing what Leilani had to do made her laugh lightly but as soon as she heard what she told Vinnie to do she straightened up and looked down at the glasses on the table, not impressed at all. Surprisingly Leilani was one of the girls she didn’t dislike here but she did here dirty now and it’s something she would definitely remember. Looking up at her with a raised brow while slightly shaking her head, she played with the glass in her hand, gently tapping it with her nails as a way of trying to keep calm. She knew Vinnie wouldn’t do anything she wouldn’t like but it still made her feel uneasy. Shifting her gaze to him he didn’t meet her eyes which was probably a good thing because he didn’t see how furious she was, instead he got up making his way to someone. Quickly taking a sip of her drink she leaned forward, squinting her eyes as she waited to see who he would pick, who she would have to deal with later but to her surprise it was River. She still wasn’t happy, she really didn’t want her man kissing anyone else even if it was a dare but it did make her chuckle, leaning back in her seat and relaxing just a bit.
She got lost in her thoughts for a moment, still a bit angry because of that dare but hearing something about a fight made her look up immediately, seeing what was happening. Spilling her drink and almost breaking the glass as she tried to put it on the table, she got up quickly making her way to Melina as soon as Heather walked away, bumping into Mel. Standing in front of her and tightly grabbing her arms she looked at her with a serious expression, muttering under her breath. “Don’t do anything, it’s not worth it just sit.” Letting go of her arms she looked around at everyone with a forced smile, trying to lighten up the mood. She did want to see something happen, a fight would make this interesting but she she is not, under any circumstances, letting her best friend fight another girl. “Ok, what about that lap dance, huh?” Looking at Addy she slightly smirked going back to sit but also turning to check if Melina was about to do something stupid.

I chuckled lightly, perfect everything was back to normal.
The game continued, I told heather to chug a pint and she chugged water. Dude what? But I didn’t care enough to tell her I meant beer. I was too unfocused at that time.
I ran my hand through my hair, and continued looking at the game. I’m going to need a drink when this sh*t ends.

I was watching Melina and this girl I didn’t quite know get into it, and I couldn’t understand why. I wasn’t really paying attention anymore. Hopefully, nowadays children were so dirty-minded. When she was a kid- actually that wasn’t a correct comparison because when she was 16 arrangements for marriage was being discussed… The toothy grin he gave at her shock helped solidify he didn’t know what it meant, or he was trying to get a rise from her. A true Barrick child. He slid it over speaking, and she raised an eyebrow at his response. Rye-Rye? Who- ah, Orion. She didn’t expect that response, but then again she didn’t really know Orion so she didn’t know what to expect. Basic decency was not a common action in Barrick children though, at least at first. She took the bagel plate away from him again as she responded, “Orion,” she responded. “Doesn’t have many friends so he struggles to understand the connotations of a friendship and confuses them with stupid words.” The shorter kid looked up at her curiously, and his next comment made Hestia internally groan. This was probably a suicide mission but he didn’t care much, he did want to apologize to her and this probably wasn’t the best way. It would be fun tho, hopefully she wouldn’t slap him again but the odds are high. With a slight smirk, he walked over to Adeline trying to think of what he can sing. It wasn’t like he’s never done it before but this was different. Confidently taking her hand while keeping eye contact he sat down on the nearest chair, regretting accepting this. Orion watched as the game went on, noticing his brother join in after a while. Then Evan, the guy Orion had met earlier, dared him. It could have been a much better dare, at least something fun, but it was simple enough. “Fine. I can do that.” Orion went and got some ice to do the dare. The ice was cold, but for ten seconds he could handle it. The only hard part was the struggle to keep a somewhat straight face in front of everyone, though all that went through his mind for those ten seconds was, Cold… Cold, cold, cold. Ah this is cold! After the ten seconds were up he shook slightly. “That was not fun, but there. Its done. Happy now?” Orion then turned to Aria. “Truth or dare?” As Orion heard her pick dare he decided on the best one to give. Smirking slightly he said, “Kiss at least half of us here, the more the better. Then rank each person on the kiss.”
“good team ay” I laughed lightly and returned the fist bump, pursing my lips playfully. “That we are, french boy.” I said as I flashed him a smile.
