She knew the dare was going to be bad considering who it was coming from. What would you expect from a person that hates your guts? But what she said was honestly something she didn’t expect and didn’t like at all. These people keep testing me. “I’m not thinking about doing it with anyone but my boyfriend right now so I’d have to skip that.” She simply said unbothered by the fact she might look boring. That was the truth after all, why would you she think about that when she always has him by her side? “He’s really good if I can add.” Throwing on a fake sweet smile she stood up subtly rolling her eyes. “What now? Shots?” That was the part she hated; shots weren’t really her thing no matter how much she likes to party and what she had to do now was just too much. These people surely want to poison themselves. Doing them with ease, or just pretending it was easy she tried so much not to react to it and not thing about how disgusting it was. This will hit her fast.
“Ok, Seth?” She raised her gaze to meet his eyes as she fixed her ponytail, putting her hand over her mouth. “Show us your search history.” She managed to say, quickly taking a seat.
I watched the game go on in front of me while I drank on from the beer bottle in my hand. I was about it to get up to go get a new one when Natalina gave me a dare. “Search history” was all I heard and I was already pulling my phone out. I don’t even know the last time I’d looked something up so this was going to be a surprise to myself also. I looked at it first and chuckled a little before holding it in front of me for others to see. “I bet you thought there would be some dirty stuff, Jokes on you!” I was surprised myself though honestly. “Who’s next?” I asked aloud while tapping my finger on my lips, pretending to think. I looked around the group and smiled as I stopped at Kato. “Oh Kato, my buddy, I dare you to exchange an item of clothing, whatever you want, with one of the girls here.” I nodded once I finished talking and stuck my phone back in my pocket.

Perseus gave a challenging grin. “Tickle. Friend.” And with that he leaned over and furiously began sticking the bagel bites into his mouth.

Adeline found herself laughing along with her friends at some of the dares. She was just tipsy enough that she found it more funny than it actually was. Even when it was Leo’s turn to serenade someone, she didn’t imagine slapping and throwing his body into a ditch. She was relaxed and having fun.
Until he approached her. Adeline’s eyes widened when her hand was suddenly in his. Her first instinct was to take it away and slap him. He was mocking her. And it infuriated her. He knew how much he hurt her. How long she stayed inside her room because she’d made the decision to break it off with someone she’d started to love who told her he was a man and wasnt getting what he needed…someone who didn’t have the same feelings for her.
He sang her a song she’d heard several times. Leo was actually a good singer, and she remembered always telling him he should do it professionally which he always denied. Adeline, on the other hand, was somewhat tone deaf. So car rides of them shouting obscene lyrics to old ladies would always leave them laughing hysterically.
“Thank you for listening.”
She’d gotten lost in her stupid thoughts and completely blanked out of the situation she was in right now.
He placed his hand on her cheek and she wanted to grab it and twist it the other way. But instead, she gave a clearly forced smile and watched him walk away.
She could finally breathe and she quickly shoved the drink in her hand down her throat before grabbing another glass.
Then, like always, she pretended she was fine and simply continued talking to her friend as if nothing had happened.

The day had gone smoothly with Naia. We had a wonderful time at the cafe and I ate to my hearts content. We spent the day chatting and reminiscing about sone of our memories together. By the time we got back to her house, Orion and Vega were asleep and Pippa was watching over them. It was the cutest thing ever and I took a picture of it. After loading the sleeping pups into the car, I made my way home to get ready for the pj party later at Seth’s club.
When the time came to leave, I checked my hair in the mirror and I appreciated my handy work. I had put my hair into two braids and tied the ends together with a scrunchie. I left food and water out for the pups in case they got hungry.
When I arrived at the party I saw I was little late but it didn’t matter, I could always say I was fashionably late. I had decided to get a virgin mojoito, so the bar was my fist stop. Nothing really happened but I didn’t mind, not until I was on my third glass of the drink that a game of truth or dare was announced. I strided off to were people were gathering and sat myself in one of the couches. I watched the game go on and tried my best to stay out of any nasty thing that might occur. When someone was asked to swap clothes with one of the girls, that’s when I started to panic.

“No, you are saying it wrong!” Hestia exclaimed, the kid was as stubborn as a rock. “Look it up online? alright. I’m right.” She was an author she knew how to spell and pronounce things, this was a little kid who probably annoyed the h-ll out of his nanny. Hestia was amused at his gasp and seeming outrage, it was admirable for a little sibling to be so defensive of their older sibling. “I’m definitely not one of them it seems,” Hestia quipped as she pushed his finger away from the plate. She sighed at his challenging response and lightly pushed him away from the plate and pulled it farther away. “No, just a friend. Only a friend. I’m taking this until you agree with me.” She raised an eyebrow at the little boy, “You realize he also has a fiancee right? Your future sister-in-law?” She took a bagel bite and ate it still keeping the plate in her possesion.

After asking Evan that question he didn’t pay attention to what was happening. He just found himself lost in the music staring at nothing. He did hear things like all girls here are beautiful, do this for 10 seconds, rate the kisses, something about wolves, switch clothes but everything was just background noise and no matter how much he was forcing background noises in his house just to fill the silence he was getting sick of them. Looking back at everyone he noticed they were all still into the game so he quietly got up, put his hands in his pockets and headed straight to the bar that was outside right by the pools. He needed to catch some air for a bit, somehow this was getting too much. He shouldn’t have done that dare it just reminded him how horrible he was treating her and that’s not the person he is. He would never do something like that, he never did something like that before but there were so many things going through his mind then. Even now.
Taking a seat at the bar he put his elbow on it, resting his head on his hand as he looked at the door and people having fun. With his other hand he played with the glass that was filled with his favorite drink, not counting how many glasses of it he’s had since this morning. He was never like this and he didn’t like it at all.

I scrunched my nose and pursed my lips as he ruffled my hair, fixing it shortly after with a small smile. “this is so extra I can’t even-” I let out a small laugh, covering my mouth with my hand. “I could never…” I muttered. I then heard Seth tell Kato to change clothes with someone in the room- a girl. I mean, I would swap if it were sweat pants and a hoodie, sure - but this man had a whole onesie. “I swear to goodness if he chooses me…” I whispered, wrapping my arm around his and burying my face into him. I had a bad feeling about this.
“Let me feel intelligent and multilingual for once,”
I laughed. “Ok, Mr. Multilingual.” I nudged him back with a giggle.
“What? Half-naked girls and guys playing high school games isn’t your thing? There’s tons of little private spots around here in case you need to catch a break. Just in case. I wouldn’t blame you for feeling overwhelmed.”
“Hmm, let me think…” I told him, then pretended to think for a moment, before shaking my head. “Definitely not. But yeah, thank you. I might need to take a break at some point or just leave early.” I shrugged.
“I was going to continue my little Aries Adventures and take a trip to Egypt for a week or two. Before that just a small cruise. I went to France a couple times for business. Never got to actually…enjoy it. So. Pretend we’re in France right now.”
I nodded as I listened to him. “That sounds fun. Have you gone traveling a lot?” I asked. “I’ve only mostly gone to European countries,” I told him. “But I wish we were in France right now.” I sighed softly. “Although I guess if we were in France, the press would be over me right now and I wouldn’t really like that.”
“Humor me. What kind of shop would you find there? Or no, wait, don’t tell me; food?”
I chuckled. “What? In France? Hmm, maybe a little restaurant?” I tilted my head to the side, trying to imagine it.
“And she’s a smooth talker. I think I might just have to find out.”
“Is that so?” I giggled. “How do you plan on doing that?” I asked, biting my lip slightly, wondering what he would say.
He was in truth or dare which was taking a little while. He spotted Minnie looking somewhat bored just as him. He quickly moved over to her. Unfortunately she was on the other aide of the circle so he had to walk around a lot of people. He sat down next to her and threw his arm around her with a wink. “Hey there.” He joked around with her before sitting back up. “They have very interesting dares. Too bad no one has chosen us yet.” He told her with a shrug.

Perseus growled and held up a pinky instead of the infamous middle finger, afraid his mother would somehow see. “I. Am. Right.”
“I’m definitely not one of them it seems."

The bagel bites were taken away from him again. Perseus was too in love with food to let this go unnoticed.
“No, just a friend. Only a friend. I’m taking this until you agree with me.”
“No! Never! Aries only has cool friends!”
He whined as he stretched himself out as far as he could for the plate.
“You realize he also has a fiancee right? Your future sister-in-law?”
He paused, narrowing his eyes over at her.

Stephanie didn’t particularly spend that much time with Percy when she was over. But she did spoil him with awesome toys.
“So? He still has tickle buddies.”
Realizing using his short arms wasn’t working out, he crawled up on the table and slithered over like a snake.

Aries pinched the bridge of his nose as she continued speaking about arrangements they’d have to deal with.
“Pink, I said pink is fine.”
“But they might clash with the grey, right?”
He sighed and didn’t respond. And that’s when she took the oppurtunity to speak again. “A…you alright? Your dad keeps telling me to check up on you…he’s worried too.”
He scoffed and got up from the sofa, raking his fingers through his hair. “Yeah. I’m good.”
“I know it’s been tough but…try reaching out yeah?”
Aries jumped up and screamed when something knocked hard against the glass window leading to the backyard. He flipped around to see a hysterical (what was her flippin name…Rosa?) Rosa banging on the glass, her hair and face piled with paint and silly string.
“ARIES?! YOU OK?!”
“Ye-yeah, fine! Listen, I’ve gotta call you back.”
Before she could refuse, he hung up and jogged over, unlocking the door and letting in the disheveled woman.
“What happened?” He asked, slipping his cell inside his pocket.
“He locked me out! He made a trap!” She grabbed Aries face and his eyes widened as she shook him back and forth. If his dad was here, he’d immediately throw the lady out for disrespect. But she was like a mother to him in all honesty. She dealt with most of the pranks and trouble Aries and Orion did when they were younger. She only came back to work for the Barrick’s when Percy was born “THAT BOY IS INSANE! PERCY!”
Aries rubbed the back of his neck as he made his way over to the kitchen, Percy half-way on the table, his mouth dirty with pizza sauce.
His eyes widened at his nanny’s yell. “The heck is going on-”
“Percy!” Rosa came rushing in behind him and grabbed Percy. Percy kicked and screamed but she carried him away. “CRUEL WORLD! CRUEL CRUEL MISTRESS WHO STEALS BAGELS!”
“You’re going to help me clean everything up young man! This is the last straw!”
They disappeared and Aries stared blankly at Hestia hugging the plate of bagel bites. He cleared his throat and walked over, sitting down and raising a brow. “Were you fighting a 4-year old for bagels?”
The thought alone made him snicker and he put a fist to his mouth to cover it up.

At that point, they were both tilting their heads staring at the bar as if it was much more interesting than a catering service for alcohol. “Resteraunt hm? And what kind of food?”

Admittedly, Aries found himself pleasantly surprised at her teasing and flirtatious passes. He gave a playful smirk and shrugged. “I suppose you’ll just have to found out.”
When the dare switched to Aria kissing a bunch of people and rating them, Aries watched as she stopped at each person including Orion who’d given the dare. He snickered at the rating he’d been given and pointed a finger at him. “Maybe next time little brutha!” When she kissed Hestia, he gave a wince, knowing Hestia probably would sue her for sexual assault or something or other.
Aria made her way over to him. He lifted a brow as she leaned down but eventually smirked and took advantage of the situation, kissing her back. Afterall, it was a dare. It wasn’t necessarily his fault someone else had kissed him.
When she gave him his rating, he clicked his tongue and lifted a finger from his glass, gesturing it towards her. “Did you ever doubt?” She wasn’t too bad herself.
He chuckled lightly as she went on before placing his attention back at Amèile.

I looked at the two, then looked away since it was weird because they were both my friends and kissing very close to my face. I wasn’t the type to do things like these, but sometimes I wish I could try since they kind of looked fun.

He pondered for a moment, tapping his chin before answering. “I think I’ve already been to most places I’ve dreamed of going buuuuuut…some random deserted Island where I can test my survival skills and hopelessly fail at it.”

“You play a hard bargain.” He leaned closer to her, keeping his eyes to hers as he spoke quickly, his face jokingly serious for effect. “That would require some very mischevious and rebellious activity. You up for the task?” He pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes before wiggling his brows and holding out his hand to her like he was making a deal.
He chuckled about her response on the truth and dare. “Well. You’re not wrong. Me? Well. There’s certain entertainment in watching adults behave like tweens in middle school. I can use this against them later as leverage.”
“Brunei? Now that you’ve gotta elaborate on, what were you doing over there?”
I sighed, then rubbed the back of my neck. “I accompanied my father there because he wanted France and Brunei to have a good relationship for some reason,” I told him. “And I ruined that…” I muttered under my breath, then sighed again.
Aries then told me how he’d like to go to some deserted island to test his survival skills and I raised my eyebrows in surprise. “Really? I couldn’t imagine, I would definitely fail.” I laughed.
“So why come to Lime Grove of all places instead of France? A good break?”
“My father wanted me to.” I responded. “It’s for my protection, hence why I have several bodyguards.” I motioned to the two bodyguards standing behind me. There were a couple more, but they weren’t with me now.
“Oui oui. You can’t say I used that wrong this time. Don’t tell me, can you cook?”
I laughed, then nodded. “Yeah, I can. I do like to cook and bake, although I have a personal chef. He mostly just makes my breakfast when I’m tired in the morning. Whenever I cannot cook or do not have the energy to cook, he does. I do enjoy cooking though. Maybe you can come over sometime and I can make something for you.” I suggested. “How about you?”

I noticed him hold out his hand and I bit my lip. I reluctantly reached my hand out, then grabbed his, and shook it. “Alright, sure. I better not regret this.” I chuckled.

I paid attention to the game and noticed that someone was dared to kiss people and then rate then. She came around to me and kissed me, which took me by surprise. I didn’t have enough time to react well and also didn’t put much into the kiss since I didn’t even know her, so she gave me a seven, which I shrugged at. I then noticed Seth look at me.
“Oh Kato, my buddy, I dare you to exchange an item of clothing, whatever you want, with one of the girls here.”
“D-mn, I really wanted to keep showing off this onesie.” I laughed, then looked around and decided to pick Addison. “Addison, give me your robe and you can wear my onesie.” I got up and we soon swapped the clothing item. “Congratulations, you are now a flying squirrel.” I laughed, then looked around to see who to pick next and decided to ask someone I didn’t know. “You, truth or dare?” I asked the woman, who responded with truth. “Hm, what is your most embarrassing story that’s also funny?” I asked.

I noticed him eyeing the game a bit too. “You cna go play if you want. I’m sure it’s a bit more amusing than talking to me.” A few years ago, I would’ve been in the middle of that game with everyone but things have changed. I didn’t really find joy in that anymore. It was like most things I’d known and enjoyed, didn’t give me the same satisfaction like they once did. But if Fadil wanted to go, I wasn’t going to stop him. ”videography and cinematography are not the same thing,” “hmm…care to enlighten me then? What’s the difference?” I really didn’t know. I’d heard the words before but never really asked what it actually pertained.

The game went on pretty well but soon it was my turn. "You, truth or dare?” I picked truth and I regretted it after hearing the question. Off everything that he could’ve asked me, did it have to be something that was embarrassing? I looked around the circle and sighed aloud. “The most embarrassing thing that happened to me was when I went skydiving with my friends and I froze up, so in order for us to not miss the drop zone they pushed my out the plane and jumped after me. When I finally realised I was falling, I threw up and everything just came back up my face,” I said while fiddling with the end of my cardigan the whole time. I waited for a few minutes before I looked up and searched the crowd for someone to ask, that’s when I saw Noelle --I think that’s her name. “Noelle truth or dare?” She said dare. I had a wide smirk on my face and I was sure Noelle knew it means, I was going to say something she’d regret. “You have to pick one of your friends for seven minutes in heaven.” Finally, maybe the attention would be taken away from me. I just hope she’ll forgive me later for this.

She must have noticed me eyeing the game but I had no interest in it. “Now why would I leave you and join them. Yes, it seems fun but I’m in no mood to partake in something like that. I prefer watching from the sidelines.” Even though I really loved a good game of truth or dare, I wasn’t up for it today. The tension rolling around there was too much and I wasn’t ready to get drunk and end up in the hospital because I couldn’t drive myself home. “hmm…care to enlighten me then? What’s the difference?” “A simple way of putting it without me going into a full-on rant is,” he paused to take a sip of his water before continuing “Videography is the art of taking good videos while Cinematography is the art of conveying a message through the videos. If I’m into capturing birds in a really cool angle, it’s videography. But, if I want to tell a story, represent something, and make people feel something through my videos, it’s cinematography,” he finished. “This may seem too forward and no this is not me trying to get in bed with you but I would really love to take a few pictures of you for my portfolio or for your Instagram, you don’t have to agree with me right now but you can think about it,” he said hopefully. He needed something that’d keep him sane throughout the lockdown and one of the few ways is by immersing himself in work.

Waking up to the sun shining right on his face was the only way he’s been waking up for the past few weeks but this time he was at a different place. Adjusting his eyes to the light he straightened up in the chair remembering where he was.
Flashback
It was rather late, he’d never stay this long at a party but he just didn’t want to go home now. If he could he would stay at the club but another place came to his mind. Grabbing his things, he left the club without saying anything and went straight to his bike, driving all the way to his hotel, it was closer than his house. Leaving his bike in a little garage he made for himself he went through the main entrance, smiling at the sight of Phoebe at the reception. “Wake up.” Chuckling, he jokingly said meeting her eyes as he was passing by her to go to the elevator. Noticing her looking at him confused because of what he was wearing he started to walk faster. “Don’t ask. I have some work to do.” He yelled through a chuckle, raising his hands before reaching the elevator.
Did he really have something he had to finish, something to work on? Not really. Especially not at this time but if it makes him escape the reality for a while there’s no harm in pretending. There wasn’t really anything that could describe what he was feeling or what going through his mind, now he just needed a distraction. Going through the papers that have been sitting on his table he leaned back in his chair, taking a deep breath before shifting his gaze somewhere to the side. If people could see him like this now, wearing what he was wearing they definitely wouldn’t take him seriously. Picking up the first pen he could grab he unconsciously started playing with it, blankly staring at the papers in front of him. Slowly shifting his gaze to the little drawer under the table on his right he threw the pen to the side swiftly moving his hand to open it, taking out his pack of cigs and an ashtray. Resting his elbow on the table, he lightened one up, taking a drag as he almost laid down on the table, resting his head in the palm of his hand. He didn’t even smoke it after that, he just played with it between his fingers watching it slowly burn and getting shorter. He hates the smell of it, the taste of it, but for some reason it calms him, just looking at the smoke forming at the very end of it.

With a sigh he got up, holding onto the table. This wasn’t the first time he fell asleep at his office, it wasn’t anything new but it made him feel awful; like he doesn’t have his life sorted out. And honestly, he doesn’t. Walking over to the little dresser he had in this office, just in case, he took out the first shirt he could grab before leaving the place.
It was a nice day, really hot tho, so upon arriving home he took a quick shower and put on some swimming trunks deciding to go to the lake today. Of course, he had a pool at his house but he felt like going out no matter how bad he was feeling after all the drinks from last night. Taking the towel from his bathroom, he left the house going to the lake.

Last night, after watching all of the dares but not participating, the party was soon over and people were walking out. “Well…that was fun.” I said. I left the party feeling happy thay I didn’t have to do any traumatizing dares. I went home, and after watching tv for a little while I went in the room and went to sleep. The sun shined through the window as the next morning began. It looked like today would be beautiful. I fixed myself some tea and texted Tamara.
Morning Tamara! I’m going to the cafe so If you want you can meet me there.
I got dressed and made my way to the cafe. As I opened the door I was greeted with the smell of freshly made coffee and pastries. That fully woke me up. I ordered myself a coffee and sat down at the table, waiting for Tamara.

The sun shined bright as I opened my eyes. I realized that I was laying very uncomfortable in my bed. My sheets were also very messy. “Why do I alway’s wake up like this.” I mumbled. But I knew that I would wake up like this the next morning because I was a horrible sleeper. I stumbled to the living room and started watching some tv, thinking about last night. The dare’s were pretty interesting and I felt refreshed when I went home last night. At 12:00 I got dressed and went to the basketball courts.

In the morning my eyes drously opened after having a hard night’s sleep. I woke up thinking about the night before. After that whole truth or dare stunt with Melina, I went in the bathroom, trying to control my anger. After being in there for a long time I heard people leaving, so I stormed out of the party, trying not to look at Melina’s face again so that I wouldn’t get angry. As soon as my head hit the pillow I went to sleep after writing angrily in my notebook. So let’s just say that last night wasn’t a good night for me. I went to the bathroom and did my morning routine, then I went to the library.
