Noelle + Hailey

With the lockdown occurring in Lime Grove I didn’t have much to do for work and I was left bored in my house most of the day.
I sat in my living room coming home from the library and sat in silence. I dug my phone out of my pocket and opened the exposing site. With hesitation, I began scrolling and reading. A look of shock and disgust was upon my face when I realized, this wasn’t a game. It wasn’t a bored teenager. It was real life, and secrets were spilling out into the world.
I wasn’t surprised when I found out most of them were illegal, but murder? How empty would you have to be to take someone’s life?
It was terrifying, that right next door could be someone that could kill me in an instant.
I immediately exited the website with regret. I took deep breaths and tried to forget.
I had to occupy myself.
Because of the lockdown I didn’t have many places to go. I grabbed my car keys and headed for the door.

I walked throughout the creepily empty mall. Silence loomed around. Usually the mall was packed, on a regular day.
I entered a store that was playing quiet music above. Looking through some clothes, I saw Noelle out of the corner of my eye.
I walked over to her, speaking in a low voice.
“Hey, how are you?”
I asked.
With the silence of the mall I felt as if I had to talk low and quiet.
“How are you keeping yourself busy these days?”

I woke up with a deep pain in my neck. I sat up as I stretched my sore neck, clutching the side of it.
I must’ve slept funny.
With slight confusion I looked at my phone and through my alarms. I remember that I had turned them off. There was no real purpose for them.
I locked my phone and threw it back on my nightstand.
I flopped back onto my bed and dragged my hands down my face.
I folded the covers off of me and got out of my bed towards the bathroom.

I quickly brushed my teeth and took a shower. I brushed through my terribly knotted hair and threw on some warmer clothes.
It was bizarre how it could go from sunny to chilly in an instant. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve had a steady weather pattern. You can blame that on climate change.
I grabbed my phone and made myself a cup of coffee and sat in my car while I decided where I would be going to today.
It’s like a game I play.. with.. myself.
I started the car and drove off

As I opened the tall doors the smell of ancient paper wafted in my face. It was so quiet you could hear footsteps and pages of a book turning from meters away.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been in the library. Mainly because I’ve been so busy. I tried to check out a few books a month, but I never made any promises to myself.
I walked towards the adult and romance section.
My finger grazed along the books as I walked through the aisle. My finger landed on a thick blue book. I stopped and pulled it from the shelf.
I opened the book as the pure smell of paper emitted from it.
It’s hard to describe but if you know.. you know.
I read through the short summary when I heard an all too familiar voice.

”Need any help, miss?”

I jumped and swiftly turned around.
“What are you doing here?!” I yelled but remained in a low voice.
“Why are you in the romance section anyway? You look like you’d be more into.. action and.. violence”
I shook my head with an eye roll and turned back around towards the shelf, continuing to read the summary.
“Find someone else to bother.”

Looking at peoples reactions when they don’t expect him, or better don’t want to see him was his favorite thing. There is nothing like eye rolls and good old don’t bother me comments. He’d find that entertaining but not now; coming here to annoy someone and make enemies was not on his to do list. And not just for today. “What’s so wrong with me being here?” Chuckling, he lowered his gaze down to the book she was holding, trying to read what it was about. “Everyone needs a little romance.” He mumbled, tilting his head to have a better look at the book but quickly pulled away not wanting to get in her personal space and possibly annoy her even more.
Ignoring her last comment, he let his hand slide over the books until it stopped on one with an interesting title. Picking it up with one hand and turning it to read what it’s about he quickly put it back not even bothering to pretend he was interested. That really wasn’t his thing. “I’m not here to bother you or anything like that. I came to say hi, believe it or not,” putting on smile he wanted to seem genuine but ended up looking forced, he crossed his arms looking around the place in hopes to find the right section. At this point anything was better than this. And this would be the time when he would joke about finding her in the romance section, saying something highly inappropriate but decided not to. “Help me find something good, please? I’m really bored and sick of all the TV shows,” with a pout he turned back to face her before laughing lightly.

I ignored Leo as I read through the books summary.
It was of a woman who fell in love with her boss. A forbidden romance. A classic, but highly over-told and overrated.
I turned the book over and read the blurbs.
How can a world renowned author like such a common book
I shook my head and slid the book back into the shelf among many others.
I turned back around to Leo… minding his business?
Something has to be going on.
Maybe he wants something?
He probably wants to try to investigate Kato again, that’s it!
We had already attempted at discovering Kato’s secret and if I learned anything it’s that I didn’t want to meddle in someone else’s life. Whatever is going on with him is his business, not mine.

”I’m not here to bother you or anything like that. I came to say hi, believe it or not,”

“Yeah, I don’t believe it.” I scrunched my eyebrows together and folded my arms.
He put on a weird smile that looked like he was constipated.
He was really bad at being nice.

”Help me find something good, please? I’m really bored and sick of all the TV shows,”

I raised an eyebrow. “Okay…” I walked out of the romance aisle and down the row of shelves.
“Well what are you into?”
I turned back to him and read his expression.
“You’ve never been in a library before… have you?”
“Well there’s tons of genres… fantasy, horror, thriller, romance.”
I gestured to the aisle we just exited.

I walked home last night from the party, thinking about how my mood had been cheered up. It was fun talking to Micah last night at the party, even though I didn’t usually like meeting new people.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The next day

The day began with a huge amount of sunshine shining in my room I forgot to close the curtains again I said as I got up from my bed. I did my usual boring morning routine, slightly wondering what the day was going to bring. After doing that, I decided that I was going to go to the park today to get a new change of scenery even though I barely left my house. After I sat down on the bench, I looked up and saw Micah walking towards me. “What’s up?” I asked him while waving.

Christian woke up to the sound of his phone buzzing on his night table. He picked it up and saw two text messages, putting on his glasses to read them, mildly surprised by the sender.

im alright. hbu

He responded, rolling out of bed and throwing on a pair of jeans and a t shirt before putting in his contacts and styling his hair. He walked into his kitchen and looked around for something to eat, finding a yogurt cup in his fridge. He took out the yogurt and then retrieved a spoon from his cutlery drawer, then sat on his couch to eat it, turning on the tv.

Micah woke up and, in an attempt to untangle himself from his blankets, fell out of his bed and onto his floor, giving himself a mild carpet burn. "Trés gracieux Micah." He muttered to himself as he stood up and gently rubbed his arm. He showered and dressed himself then set out to find himself some breakfast, not wanting to make it himself. As he walked, he spotted Heather and approached her, waving back at her. "Hey Heather!" He said, smiling at her.

“Hey Heather!”

I saw Micah walk up to me and greet me back. The lockdown was definitely making me closer to people because I talked to people that I had never met before. “You know, I’m not used to doing this a lot so consider yourself special.” I said while standing up to give him a fist bump. I sat back down. “So, how did the party go after I left early?” I asked as an icebreaker.

"Alright, I'll consider myself lucky." He joked, smiling as he returned her fist bump and then sat down next to her. He thought about her question and then shook his head. "Not much happened after you left. Nothing overly exciting anyway. Although, Tamara did manage to get me into the pool, more or less against my will." He told her with a small chuckle.

I was in a shop looking around,
When I heard a voice and someone approaching me
I turned and lightly smiled at the sight of hailey, I haven’t seen her in a while… not that I can recall.
Hey, how are you?
I smiled lightly at her and turned my body to face her “hey” I said “could be better… but I’m fine I guess… are you?” I asked.
How are you keeping yourself busy these days?
“Trying to distract myself” I shrugged lightly “nothing special”
@BlackBlood sorry I missed that somehow

I snickered after he told me that Tamara got him to go in the pool. “Your lucky that I didn’t push you in there myself.” I explained jokingly. I thought back to the events of this morning when I checked my refrigerator. I decided to tell him about it. “All of the foods running out, I’m kind of getting concerned.” I said.

Everything was literally a blur when Vivia woke up. Her room stank of alcohol and depression and it made her nauseated. She rushed out of her room and had to go empty out the contents of her stomach. Ever since she went to the fair and people were staring at her disapprovingly she had retreated to her house and rejected all calls and anybody who wanted to see her. She had drunk her way through several Martini’s, Vodka’s, Gin and Bailey’s and ate a couple pieces of stale bread. How did she get to this point? Just because of a few negative glares and a very angry call from her sister? She continued to retch as she thought through all of this.

She took a shower and got herself dressed in slacks. She cleaned her house and spent about three hours with dogs and having fun with them. She eventually decided to catch up on most of her schoolwork even though. She called the dogsitter and got ready for the day. She got overly dressed for someone who was going to the library but she had to show she didn’t care what anybody said. She took her laptop and grabbed her keys.

In about 5 minutes she was outside the library. She didn’t waste time because there was a slight chance of rain and she didn’t want to get caught in it. Once inside she took out her notes, some textbooks and started on her work.

After the hospital Fadil had gotten sick. The flood of memories came back and with memories came the emotions. He wasn’t always good with that particular memory and it messed with him. He could smell blood and everything smelt metallic like blood. His whole house was starting to smell like blood and it wasn’t helping him. He got ready and rushed out of his to go to the cafe.

When he arrived her ordered himself a sandwich, with a salad and a glass of orange juice. He just started scrolling through his phone with no purpose at all.

“I would’ve loved to see you try.” He teased her, laughing, knowing full well that, had she wanted to, she was entirely capable of pushing him in. He listened to what she said about food running out and nodded. “Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. It’s starting to get a little scary.” He commented.

“I would’ve loved to see you try.”

“Well bring it on! Water fight at the next party!” I said jokingly while laughing. I was just about to ask him something else when I remembered what he said at the party.
“I left my phone at home, but, remind me again the next time I see you. I’ll play you one of our demos.” "

I pointed my finger at him. “Hey, did you happen to bring your phone today? Remember what you told me…” I said while giving him a hint.

I woke up in the morning from sun rays hitting me straight in the eyes through my half closed window.
I yawned and rubbed my eyes waking up, it was a bit cold, but I had my blanket so it didn’t really affect me.
I got up and took a quick hot shower, there wasn’t an actually cold day in a while now,
I kind of liked chilly days, not too cold but a nice cold morning breeze was fine.
I didn’t really feel like being around too many people but I also didn’t want to stay stuck inside all day.
I decided to go to the library , maybe find a good book or something, a peaceful place.
I got dressed and headed out, walking through the streets on the way to the library.
When I got in I looked around and saw Vivia and lightly smiled walking to her “Hey gorgeous” I said and hugged her “how are you?” I asked

“Yeah, I don’t believe it.”
Ignoring her while still trying to keep a smile on his face, he shoved his hands in the pockets of his jacket hoping she would take him seriously for once. But it was hard to believe in everything he said at this point so he was actually waiting for another sarcastic comment coming from her. He genuinely didn’t think he would hear okay so as soon as she started walking around he followed her with a cheeky, proud smile on. Shrugging his shoulders at her question, he stood at on place just looking around and lifting his hand to scratch the back of his neck.
“I have been, do I really look like I’m not book kind of a guy?” Raising his brow and intertwining his fingers behind his neck, not the best thing to do when you have a broken arm, he chuckled asking her with a serious tone. “And tons of genres, really? I didn’t know that.” Laughing, he walked past her going to the horror section he first spotted but turned around to face her as he walked backward. “You look like you could be scared of horror books and movies.” Smirking, he turned around but only ended up bumping into one of the shelves. “Fck.” Mumbling, he picked up the first book he could grab, trying to play it off. “Caroline, huh? What do you think about it?” Casually leaning against those shelves he turned the book to read what it’s about, furrowing his brows as he noticed it’s a book for kids. “This one is for you.” Quietly saying it he looked up at her with a sweet smile, holding the book out for her to take.

Vivia had just finished three maths lectures and was trying to catch up on the homework they were given but was finding it hard to solve the equations. She was biting the head of her pen when she heard someone come up beside her. In an instant, her spine stiffened and she had a haunted look on her face.

“Hey gorgeous”

She relaxed immediately and got up to hug her back. “I’m fine. Sorry I’ve been on the down-low,” she said lowly feeling a bit bad. “How are you?” she asked a bit concerned.

She hugged me back and i smiled lightly
i’m fine. Sorry I’ve been on the down-low,
Oof, I frowned a bit “is it the thing with your sister still?” I asked
I sat down on the closest chair next to her and rested my elbow on the table running a hand through my slightly messy hair
how are you
“better I think” I said “I guess״ I said and smiled lightly
“What are you up to?” I asked and glanced at her book

“Yes,” she replied with an exasperated sigh. “She called a few days back and was literally screaming at me and saying all manner of things,” she said looking sullen. “And you know how much I strive for her approval and to listen to her talk to me like that wasn’t the most pleasant thing,” she said, drawing her bottom lip into her mouth.

“Better? You think?” she repeated looking confused and concerned. “What happened?” she asked taking Noelle’s hand into her’s. “What did I miss? And tell me it wasn’t too serious.”

“I’m just catching up on homework. The semester is almost over and I can’t graduate without completing all my classes,” she explained lightly. “Remeber I had to repeat the ninth grade after my injury.”

"I will definitely take you up on that." He joked back, smiling. She pointed her finger at him and asked if he'd brought his phone. He nodded, picking up on her hint, remembering what he'd told her at the party. He pulled out his phone and pulled up one of the new demos the band had worked on. "This is one of the songs we did right before we went on lockdown, it's kinda a first draft, but I like it." He said, before pressing play and pointing the phone speaker towards Heather so she could hear it better.

Yes, She called a few days back and was literally screaming at me and saying all manner of things. And you know how much I strive for her approval and to listen to her talk to me like that wasn’t the most pleasant thing.
I sighed and frowned a bit “dammit” I mumbled
“It’ll be better” I said “I’m sure of it” I said with a reassuring smile
Better? You think? What happened? What did I miss? And tell me it wasn’t too serious.
“You didn’t miss anything really… not that I think so at least” I said “it’s just the whole secret exposing shi-t… and Leo and all” I shrugged and sighed a bit “it’s just a bit much, but I’m better now” I guess…
I’m just catching up on homework. The semester is almost over and I can’t graduate without completing all my classes, Remeber I had to repeat the ninth grade after my injury.
“Ah right” I said “forgot that part. How’s that working out for you?” I asked
