I bobbed my head to the music. It sounded like something that I would listen to so it was good. When the demo was done, I clapped my hands. “Well done sir, well done!” I said. “Do you still play music even though we are in this lockdown?” I asked.

I sighed.
“Yeah.. doing alright.”
I pushed through the shirts on the rack and gazed at them.
Everyone seemed to be doing a good job at distracting.
I didn’t want to ignore it anymore.
With hesitation and a gulp I asked,
“Who do you think is behind it?”
I spoke rather low even though hardly anyone was in the mall, and everyone was aware of the site.
“We can’t ignore it forever.”
I had been working all day and chosen to ignore my rumbling stomach. I had a lot of work to catch up on since I decided to go to that party the other day. What a stupid idea that was. Luckily I didn’t drink, I’m way too busy to be hungover.
I knew the dangers of not eating, and the past days I had eaten as little as an apple a day. I left the office and got into my car to find somewhere to eat.
Once I arrived, I realized I didn’t bring my phone along with me.
The ringing of a bell sung above as I pushed open the door entering the cafe. Looking around I walked over to the nearest person.
“Uh excuse me, do you happen to know the time?”
With suprise I smiled softly.
"…do I really look like I’m not book kind of a guy?”
Crossing my arms I nodded. “Yes.”
I never would have thought that he would even consider stepping foot into a library.
He definitely wasn’t quiet and would be kicked out immediately. I’m surprised he’s made it so far.
“You look like you could be scared of horror books and movies.”
“Haha.” I said dryly.
I will admit, he was right. Horror freaked me out. I can handle books better than a movie per say.
As he turned around and bumped into a shelf, I snorted and laughed under my breath.
I turned to someone shushing me. Trying to contain the laughter, I took deep breaths and nodded towards them. “Sorry..” I whispered, with a short chuckle.
I cleared my throat and reminded myself that I was helping him.
“I think it’s a great fit, given it’s for children.”
He handed the book back to me with a smile.
I should’ve seen it coming.
Snatching the book from him I rolled my eyes and walked down the horror section.
Sliding the book back onto the shelf I gazed along the books.
Pulling out a gray book, I briefly looked at the back and handed it to him.
“You might like this one.”
Continuing down the aisle I couldn’t help but ask,
“Have you looked at the exposing site since…?” I gestured to his arm.

Ember woke up and yawned. She went on a run yesterday so today she plans on being comfy. Throwing on some shoes and airpods she headed out to go pick of a coffee and possibly some food. The muffins their were to die for. She walked over to the cafe and opened the door for someone before heading inside herself. As she was waiting in line, she had taken her airpods off and tossed them into her pocket. While waiting in line, she messaged Miles.
Hey!! Do you wanna hangout today? Also want some food from the coffee shop?

“Honestly I don’t have a clue… we can’t ignore it but also, what can we do really? We’re powerless against something we don’t even know…” I shrugged with a light sigh

Leaving my phone on the counter I took a shower and quickly got dressed.
I didn’t have any plans for the day considering the lockdown. Throughout the week I have been roaming Lime Grove trying to gain inspiration for my new clothing line but I haven’t had any new ideas.
Contemplating what I should do today, I grabbed my phone and sat down in my closet looking through my shoe collection trying to decide what would go well with my outfit.
With a quiet sigh and nod I continued looking through the racks.
I came across a blue velvet shirt with fringe and held it out.
“This is cute..” I said taking it off the rack to buy.
“Are you worried about the lockdown? I mean.. it’s been a week. We can only survive being cut off from the world for so long.”
I shrugged slightly.
I was still curious about the lockdown and the real reason. An exposing site just happens to come out the moment Lime Grove goes under lockdown and completely in the dark? That’s no coincidence.

She ordered their food and waited.

“It’s been only a week?!” My eyes widened “it felt like ages!” I said and shook my head
I sighed “I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily worried, but I’m definitely getting sick of it. I wish it would end already, I really need to get away” I added with a shrug

I got up and wore a plain t shirt and a pair of jean shorts and headed out after feeding the dogs.
I walked over to Ember’s house, which wasn’t far from mine at all, and knocked on the door

yeah. there’s some crazy sh-t on there.
He responded, finishing his yogurt. He stood up and threw out the yogurt cup, putting his spoon in the sink. He then proceeding to examine his liquor cabinet, wanting to try out a new drink recipe. Once he’d found the bottles he was looking for, he returned to his kitchen and retrieved the other ingredients, starting to mix them together.
“You’re making me want to buy instruments now. Maybe I will” I said. Then something popped into my head and I jumped up from the bench. “Hey, do you want to walk around and maybe go somewhere? Your choice” I asked him. I was honestly curious as to what places he liked to have fun at so the only way for me to know was to ask.

“How about the garden?” I nodded my head. “Awesome. Let’s go.” We left the bench and walked towards the garden. I never visited this place before so it was completely new to me. While walking in the garden I looked at all of the pink flowers around. “This garden seems so…girly to me. You know, I keep a vase of black flowers in my house.” I looked at his face to see his reaction. “Actually they are fake flowers painted black.” I explained while laughing.

She gathered her order and headed home. She turned in her drive to see him standing there. She laughed a little before getting out and waving at him. “Sorry. How long were you waiting?” She asked as she walked to him and unlocked the door.
I looked up at him when he started talking about his family. “I don’t think I’ve ever met your sister. She’s lucky for that.” I said jokingly. “But seriously, That’s cool that you have a nostalgic place to go to that reminds you of your family. I pretty much live here by myself.” I shrugged. I didnt know if i should tell him that because that information probably sounded sad compared to his.“So, what is tamara like as a sister? Im not really around my siblings.” I asked curiously.

He was slowly starting to feel better again. Things that would cause him pain felt good again and he finally didn’t have a cast on his arm. The only thing he couldn’t really do is exercise which was the hardest thing for him since the very beginning. Even walks couldn’t help with that, that was and still is boring to him.
Slowly waking up later than usual to the rays of sun coming through his window, he straightened up resting his elbows on his knees. Things were slowly starting to feel monotone; he would wake up, make breakfast, go for a walk, watch tv and work. For someone like him that was a nightmare. He needed something fun to keep his spirit up and being in the state he was, in this situation that was practically impossible. Even normal, everyday things started feeling draining.
Taking a deep breath, he threw the sheets to an empty side of his bed before getting up and going to the bathroom. He didn’t really have a plan for today, he would just do things he usually does and hope something interesting happens which wasn’t likely. But there was one thing going through his mind for a long time, something he wanted and had all the rights to do but could never go through with. She told him it was ok.
Getting ready for the day and putting on some casual clothes he walked downstairs to make breakfast before going out for a walk around the neighborhood. Without thinking about it he found himself in front of Elise’s new house, just standing, tightly holding his phone. Slowly looking down at it, he took a deep breath before writing her a text and sending it, not giving himself time to overthink.
I’m close to your house… can I see the dogs?
