“Yeah, that sounds like a good way to do things.” He said as he nodded in agreement to her suggestion, putting his hands in his pockets. He knew that he did most of his shopping online, so looking at store displays was usually how he did things when he had to go to the mall, although he wasn’t sure if he should tell her that. He wasn’t really picky about clothes and usually ended up buying whatever fit, so he was curious to see how this would turn out since he got the impression that Kate was a professional shopper. “Um, how far away is this mall?” He asked, remembering how he got to the cafe. “I walked here from my apartment, so I don’t have my car.” He explained, feeling a little embarrassed, even though he wasn’t sure of the cause or why he was even embarrassed in the first place.

I smile. “It’s not far from here, I suppose. But I wouldn’t know. I usually drive myself over there or am ridden over there so I never knew the distance between the first shop and other objects in this town except from my own house. I don’t even know how long it would take me to walk from my house to the shop, I only know miles per hour.” Considering we already paid I sit up and walk a few paces behind him as if I were to leave withouth him, but I stop behind his chair and my back facing him I say “You coming?”

“Hehe, that’s why I keep telling you not to drink it too fast.”
Tamara shot her friend a playful glare. “Yeah, well, maybe one of these days, I’ll finally listen.” She joked, stirring the tea and lightly blowing on it. She listened to Dianne talk about how her travel plans all got cancelled. “It sucks about the Bahamas. I’m sure your article would’ve been amazing.” She reassured her, putting her hand on top of Dianne’s. At the mention of their now-cancelled trip to New Orleans, she playfully pouted. “That sucks too. We’ll definitely have to go once this is all over. I was even having Micah teach me some French.”

He watched her stand up and start to walk away, not realizing that he should’ve stood up as well until she asked him if he was coming. “Oh, yeah, I’m coming.” He said, standing up and walking towards her, doing a quick check to make sure he had everything he came in with. “Anyway, if it’s not far, we can either walk or call an Uber, it’s up to you. I’m cool with either one.” He said with a small shrug, continuing their conversation.

Micah woke up to the sound of his alarm, smushing his face back into his pillow. He eventually dragged himself out of bed, having become annoyed at the alarm’s ringing. He turned off the alarm and set his phone down, taking a shower and then choosing an outfit for the day. After he was dressed, he went into his kitchen and make himself a quick breakfast consisting of a toaster waffle with Nutella. He sat at his table and ate his breakfast, taking his meds once he’d finished eating. He set his dishes in the sink, making a mental note to wash them later. Deciding that he wanted to go outside, he put on his sneakers, grabbed his house keys, phone and wallet, and left his apartment, locking the door behind him. He walked to the gardens and wandered around, occasionally stopping to take pictures of flowers to send to his sister. After wandering for a few minutes, he came across Catina and waved to her, smiling. “Hey Catina!” He called out to her.
