My Chemical Romance Reunion

So for all killjoys out there today (October 31st) marks the day that a beloved band of mine (My Chemical Romance) have announced a reunion show in December! I was skeptical at first until Gerard and Frank confirmed it on their own instagram page . Needless to say I am very happy right now.

I made this thread because I love My Chemical Romance and because I want us to discuss them :joy:.

P.s you can all thank @ShanniiWrites for this because she has had a good luck streak.

If you have any questions on MCR feel free to ask me. If you don’t like them that’s fine as long as you are not rude to those who do and same for those who do like them.

I trust you! I think if I discovered it any other way, I’d have my issues, since the last debacle aka MCR’s marketing team sucking at social media

Yup MCR X was a really big let down. So it is a relief that this time the actual members of MCR have confirmed it.

Do you know if this is just going to be a single tour thing or… :eyes:

Well as my Dad says, bands will usually do a “one off” then announce a tour. So for now let’s hope.

But Gerard Way isn’t depressed anymore so people will complain like the last one :grimacing:

That would really annoy me. I’m glad he isn’t depressed anymore, Danger Days isn’t even a bad album.

I mean, Na na na and Sing come from it! I don’t get people

Although the Paper Children seemed like a really cool idea and I want it to be a book

I still don’t know much about MCR, but…

Why would people complain about someone not being depressed? :eyes::eyes::eyes:
Or is depressed a code word for something?:eyes::sparkles:

I didn’t believe my friend at first. I had to see it for myself.

Then I cried.

I was 15 when they broke up and my parents would never let me go to a concert alone :sob:

:joy: Gerard Way worked through his depression in the album The Black Parade! Then when Danger Days came out, the music was a lot happier and people were unhappy because the band that was helping them identify with their own feelings of depression got over it before they did pretty much. They wanted another Black Parade, but Way just wasn’t in that frame of mind anymore

Even when danger days was released he was still struggling with his depression. In the ending letter he said he was falling back into old habbits. He also wanted to be there for his daughter. Touring can really take it out of you.

I guess it also never really goes away fully! But he definitely wasn’t like he was during Black Parade!

It kind of annoyed me when people were saying “he was anorexic during danger days” because he never said he was, he had lost a lot of weight but he never once said he had anorexia.

Yeah that’s a really stupid assumption! Like he definitely struggled with his weight, but it was more yoyo-y than that
