Jess stayed silent as she followed him in, helping the baby out of it’s stroller and smiling at the child. She brought the baby to her guest bedroom, swaddling the kid before placing her on a makeshift crib on the bed with some pillows so she’d be safe. Waiting until the baby was asleep, Jess walked back to her living room with frustration present in her form.
