I did my best to protect everyone, but my best wasn’t enough and I failed her. I kept letting her down.

He pretty much gave the minimum details possible in regards to his relationship with Jess. None of it was inaccurate, just missing a whole lot of details…

She has a family of her own now, a husband, kids close to your age. She has a life that’s better than it was when I was there. I haven’t spoken to her in years, but I know she’s happier now.

Sometimes I feel like it would be easier to write out a fresh timeline to add any newly discussed events to, and slowly add any old events as they get discussed again. Then if needed change dates.
