Even with the offer of work (which he ended up taking); Jordan initially was going to turn down the offer and stay at Cerulean High as he had friends he wasnât yet willing to leave. However, what caused his sway in decision was the fact that Jordan had testified against his father (something that is sealed record information) - who had abused him for years - to implicate the in a bank robbery crime committed 4 years prior that Jordan found out about when he was 12 - though was too scared to say anything. However; when putting the man away - who was sentenced to 5 years with ability of parol (due to cooperating with the officers and implicating other friends involved lowering his own sentence); Jordanâs father had threatened that the minute he was released from prison, heâd take away everything Jordan loved. Wanting to remove himself from his friends at his school so that could never happen (especially if his father was released early); Jordan took the job and left. However with the recent death - or rather murder of his father from inmate casualty - Jordan returned to visit his fatherâs grave and see his friends again.
Though now Jordan and Mikel have a girl theyâre fighting over, this isnât the first time the two of them have crossed paths. No, Jordan and Mikel do indeed have a history of mistrust stemming from the fact that they were both once Drug Dealers with the supplier being Jordanâs father. Now Mikel doesnât trust Jordan because he thinks his âkindnessâ especially towards coming back for Jezebel is a lie, and Jordan believes that Mikel may still be up to his old ways.
