Until a slow song came on, at least. A moment he’s been secretly dreading. He let out a sight, but quickly turned to face the girl standing next to him, putting on a sweet smile. He wasn’t a bad dancer, no, he just never found joy in it and never wanted to dance to such songs but this was prom. He almost had to do it. Everything to make his date happy… and maybe someone else too.
“Dance?” He asked as the smile on his face became more playful, his brow slightly raising. And as she placed her hand in his, he lead her to the dance floor where people were slowly starting to gather and ever so lightly placed his hand on her waist. That’s how he was the whole time they were dancing - he was gentle. But his mind was somewhere else. He kept thinking about what he had to do, about what he planned for this night, what he wanted to do tonight.
