Tho I tend to recycle secrets/plots
I have like a million characters that were either poor and homeless and got out of it / had a miscarriage or has a child / has an eating disorder / dead fam

For me, it’s probably the character’s family dynamic. It’s a key jumping off point for their background and helps me form who they are.
