Fin is someone who try’s to push the idea that he doesn’t need anyone and he’ll never need anyone. His lack of love in childhood carried over to his adult life where he treats relationships like he was treated as a kid - one in which love is unrealistic and bull sht.
That being said - he does find safety in a handful of characters (like Ricky) because he resonates with the fact that love doesn’t exist where as everyone else doesn’t.
Things come easy to him - being hot means getting girls and he’s the type that usually doesn’t get turned away when he flirts with a character
In other words
He needs someone who doesn’t believe in love but also won’t take his bull sht. He needs someone who will make him chase her - but not too much because fin will get bored.
