Dan just knows how good Jordan is for Jez. He knows the good they had in the past, and how happy he makes her, how good he’ll always be.
Laurel, she doesn’t know the same history. She knows Jordan was the person Jez was with in high school before Mikel, that Jez got her heart broken, and that Jez never got over him… Laurel saw how hurt Jez looked whenever one of Jordan’s songs would play, or something about him would be in the media… Laurel saw him as only bringing Jez pain…

It’d probably have an impact, but it would be a different impact. I know Jez would’ve done her best to not let Laurel see the problems, to make sure she had a happy home.

Jordan’s the one who fixed Dan and Jez’ relationship in the first place. Plus, like you said, he’s seen them and he knows that Jordan was always who Jez was supposed to be with.
