With the Korean age system, everyone turned a year older on Jan 1 but the time you were in the womb counted as a year of your life, so basically everyone everyone was their international age +1 or +2 depending on whether or not your birthday has passed

So with the Korean age system, I would be 21 this year, not 20

The drinking age in Korea is 20, thatā€™s why I feel bad for anyone who was 20 this year with the different age system because once they get rid of it in June, they wonā€™t be if their birthday is after June or theyā€™re an 04
