Leo’s looking at it as a business matter.
He’s dealing with a problem his son caused, and he’ll deal with Kai later.
He doesn’t know anything about what to do, but he can’t just let his kid be put up for adoption. He wants to be in his kid’s life, even if he’s still practically a kid himself.

Leo could see how much it mattered to Kai, and it changed everything.
He knew at that point Kai would never be able to close himself off the way Leo had. Kai would always care too much.

Cause Miranda was like, 20? When Kai and El were born.
But it’s such a different situation for Kai. Kai would’ve been 16 when he got Candice pregnant, 17 when Oliver was born. But there’s zero pressure for Kai to get married, or to even have a relationship with Candice. Kai just has support.
Leo’s only other option would’ve been if Miranda had gotten an abortion, or if she agreed to go back to London with some money for the babies and sign a NDA.
But that wasn’t happening so he had no choice but to marry her and be a father.
The choice was made for him.
That I don’t know. I don’t think we discussed that part. We only ever discussed Jess and Kai. 
I suppose at least by the time Jess and Kai would’ve each graduated. Cause there wouldn’t have been anything stopping them.
